업무능력에 대해 취업자가 인식한 최종학력 요인 및 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 취업자가 인식하는 실제 업무능력에 대한 최종학력의 기여도를 중심으로 관련 변인의 영향력을 탐색하여 장기적인 취업역량의 강화 방안을 모색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 청년 패널조사 2020년 자료 기준 만25~29세 청년 취업자 286명을 대상으로 분석을 수행하며, 취업자가 인식하는 업무능력을 4가지로 세분화하여 그 필요영역의 특성에 따른 관련 변인들의 영향력을 확인한 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 탐색적 요인분석을 통하여 업무능력을 세분화한 결과 기존 연구에서 드러난 기본 및 전문지식 능력을 바탕으로 외국어·수학 및 소통·성찰 능력이 유지되고 있는 가운데 컴퓨터 활용 능력이 추가적인 전문지식 능력으로 고려되고 있었다. 둘째, 가구 총소득이 높거나 대학 이상의 학력 수준을 가질수록 최종학력의 업무능력 기여도가 높은 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 업무능력 가운데 전문지식 능력과 외국어·수리 능력은 직무 특성에 따라서 기여도 인식 수준이 유의미한 차이를 보이고 있으며 특히 직장의 규모나 정규직 유무가 영향을 주고 있었다. 넷째, 소통·성찰 능력에 대한 최종학력 기여도는 거주지역이나 가구 총소득이 유의한 영향을 주지만 직장 및 직무 특성 변인이 추가됨에 따라 소멸하는 모습을 보인다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 대졸자의 취업역량 강화를 위한 교육기관의 직무 및 진로 교육 강화, 직장에서의 제도적 뒷받침, 교육과 취업간 유기적 연계를 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to find a way to strengthen long-term employment competency by exploring the influence of related variables with a focus on the contribution of the final academic background to the actual work ability perceived by the employed. A study that analyzes 286 young employed people aged 25-29 based on the 2020 data of the youth panel survey, and subdivides the work ability recognized by the employed into 4 categories and confirms the influence of related variables according to the characteristics of the required area The result is as follows. First, as a result of subdividing work capabilities through exploratory factor analysis, foreign language & math and psycho-social skills were maintained based on the basic and specialized knowledge skills revealed in previous studies, while computer utilization skills were considered as additional specialized knowledge skills. Second, it was recognized that the higher the household income or academic background, the higher the contribution of the final educational background to work ability. Third, the level of recognition of contribution to professional knowledge ability and foreign language/mathematics ability showed a significant difference according to job characteristics, and in particular, the size of the workplace and the regular workers had an effect. Fourth, the contribution of final educational attainment to psycho-social ability is significantly affected by residential area or household gross income but disappears as workplace and job characteristics variables are added. Based on these results, This study proposes ① to strengthen the job and career education in educational institutions, ② to provide institutional support at the workplace, and ③ to link organically the education with employment for developing the employment competency of college graduates.
