국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 초·중·고교의 현장 전문가 집단에 대한 심층면접을 통해 그들이 지각한 다문화 교육의 목적, 수업기술, 운영방법을 분석하고 다문화교육의 나아갈 방향을 탐색하는 것이다. 이를 위해 경기도 지역 초·중·고교 가운데 다문화교육을 실천한 경험있는 전문가 19명을 연구참여자로 선정하였다. 자료수집은 면접질문지를 활용한 개별면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, 면담내용은 녹취록으로 작성하여 분석에 활용하였다. 이 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문가들은 다문화 교육의 목적으로 ‘국제 이해를 통한 상호협력과 인간존중’,‘평등한 교육기회를 통한 사회통합의 기여’,‘사회 적응 및 자부심’,‘기회균등 및 기본권의 보장’을 제안하였다. 둘째, 다문화교육의 수업기술에 대해 ‘교육매체의 활용 및 교수학습자료의 보급 강화’, ‘수업기술의 개발 필요’,‘실질적 교육운영과 현장체험’등의 방안을 강조하였다. 셋째, 다문화교육의 운영방법으로 통합교육과 분리교육이 병행되어야 하는 것과 공립 다문화 대안학교와 같이 제도권 내 수용할 수 있는 대안교육의 필요성을 제안하였다. 이러한 질적 연구는 다문화 교육의 효과적 운영을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the teaching techniques, and the method of the management of multicultural education that they perceive and to explore the direction for multicultural education to advance through the in-depth interviews of the professional group at elementary schools, junior schools, and high schools. For this, 19 multicultural education professionals in the field at elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools in the Gyeonggi-do region had been recruited. Data collection was conducted through individual interviews using interview questionnaires and the contents of the interview were prepared as transcripts and used for analysis. The conclusions of this study, according to the above research results, are as follows: First, regarding the purposes of multicultural education, the following were proposed: Cooperation and respect for human beings through international understanding, The contribution to social integration through equal educational opportunity, The adaptation to the society and the pride, The guarantee of the opportunity equality and the basic rights, Second, regarding the class techniques of the multicultural education, the following plans had been emphasized: The utilization of the educational media and the sufficiency of the supply of the teaching and learning materials, The need to develop the teaching techniques, The management of the practical education and the field experience, Etc., Third, regarding the method of the management of multicultural education, the fact that integrated education and separated education must be carried out at the same time and the need for the public multicultural alternative school had been proposed. It is expected that this qualitative research will be used as basic data for the effective management of multicultural education.
