교육과 자기 이해의 관련성에 대한 해석학적 연구: 교육본위론을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 기존의 교육학에서 소외된 연구주제인 ‘자기 이해’에 주목한다. 교육(의 과정)에서 체험하는 자기 이해의 의미와 성격을 드러내고, 교육과 자기 이해의 관련성을 탐색하는 데 연구의 주목적을 둔다. 이를 위해 대표적인 교육의 개념을 구체화하고 그 개념에서 도출할 수 있는 자기 이해의 성격을 논의한다. 교육본위론은 교육의 개념 체계 구축을 핵심과제로 탐구해왔다는 점에서 본 연구에 중요한 참조점을 제공한다. 본 연구에서 해석할 때, 기존의 교육학과 교육본위론은 교육과 자기 이해 사이의 관련성을 언급한다는 점에서 유사하다. 그러나 교육본위론에서는 교육적 관계의 특수성이 더욱 강조되며, 여타의 관계 안에서 경험하기 어려운 자기 이해의 속성을 드러낸다. 특히, 상구자와 하화자의 상호관계 안에서 서로 이질적인 자기 이해의 성격을 드러낸다는 점이 특징적이다.

영문 초록

With the focus on ‘self-understanding’, a theme often underdiscussed in the field of education, this study aimed to identify the meaning and characteristics of self-understanding experienced in (the process of) education and to investigate how self-understanding relates to education. To achieve the objective, this study analyzes the representative concepts of education to discuss the traits of self-understanding that can be drawn from the concepts. A theory of educative frame(the endogenous theory of education) is a crucial reference for this study in that the theory has explored the construction of the structure of educational concept as its core assignment. Based on the interpretation made in this study, previous research on education and a theory of educative frame share the characteristic of correlating education with self-understanding; however, a theory of educative frame emphasizes the distinct characteristics of educational relationship while displaying the traits of self-understanding that are difficult to experience through common relationships. Particularly, it is distinct in that heterogeneous traits of self-understanding are displayed in mutual relationships between master(the more advanced) and pupil(the less advanced).
