국문 초록

20세기 동북아시아의 위기를 촉발시켰던 중요한 것은 각 공동체간의 혐오와 그로 인한 민족적 차별과 갈등의 폭발이었다. 이 글은 1931년 7월 만주(중국 동북) 에서 일어난 만보산 사건이 혐오와 차별의 공간적 팽창의 현상임을 파악하고 이를 적극적으로 대응했던 대한민국임시정부의 입장을 파악하였다. 임시정부는 1919년 4월 상해에 성립된 이후 한국독립운동의 사령부 역할을 담당하였다. 하지만 넉넉하지 못한 자금과 인적 수급 문제로 난관에 봉착하기도 했다. 특히 만보산 사건과 한반도 내에서 화교배척사건이 연동되면서 임시정부는 혐오와 차별의 警戒를 명확하게 천명하였다. 왜냐하면 제국주의 일본의 간계로 발생한 만보산 사건이라고 할지라도 이를 바라보는 중국 측 시선이 곱지 않았기 때문이다. 따라서 임시정부는 외교부장 조소앙 명의로 만보산 사건의 해결책을 제시하였으며, 그것은 동북아시아에서 민족적 혐오와 차별을 극복하고 제국주의 일본에 공동 대응책을 강구하면서 평화를 실현하자는 제안이었다. 공생과 상생의 공동협의체를 구성하려고 했던 것이 만보산사건에 대한 임시정부의 대응책이었다.

영문 초록

What triggered the crisis in Northeast Asia in the 20th century was the hatred between communities and the resulting explosion of national discrimination and conflict. This article identified that the Manbosan incident in Manchuria (northeast China) in July 1931 was a phenomenon of spatial expansion of hatred and discrimination, and identified the position of the temporary government of the Republic of Korea, which actively responded to it. Since its establishment in Shanghai in April 1919, the provisional government has served as the headquarters of the Korean Independence Movement. However, it faced difficulties due to insufficient funds and human supply and demand. In particular, as the Manbosan case and the Chinese exclusion case were linked within the Korean Peninsula, the provisional government clearly declared hate and discrimination. This is because even if it was the Manbosan Mountain incident caused by Japanese imperialism, China’s view of it was not good. Therefore, the provisional government proposed a solution to the Manbosan case in the name of the Foreign Minister Cho So-ang, which was a proposal to realize peace by overcoming ethnic hatred and discrimination in Northeast Asia and seeking joint countermeasures against imperial Japan. It was the temporary government’s countermeasure against the Manbosan incident that tried to form a joint consultative body between symbiosis and co-prosperity.
