한국판 퍼빙 척도(PS-K)의 타당화

국문 초록

이 연구는 스마트폰으로 인해 나타나는 역기능 문제인 다른 사람과의 상호작용 중 스마트폰을사용하여 상대방을 무시하는 퍼빙(phubbing) 행동을 측정하고자 Chotpitayasunondh와 Douglas 의 Generic Scale of Phubbing와 Generic Scale of Being Phubbed를 퍼빙행동 척도와 퍼빙경험 척도로 번안 및 타당화하였다. 연구 1에서는 척도를 번역하고, 성인 136명의 자료를 수집하여 문항분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 최종 문항을 선정하였다. 연구 2에서는 성인 301명의자료를 수집하여 확인적 요인분석과 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증을 진행 하였다. 분석 결과, 퍼빙행동 척도는 4가지 하위요인(노모포비아, 대인관계 충돌, 자기고립, 문제인식), 총 15문항으로 구성되었고, 퍼빙경험 척도는 3가지 하위요인(규범인식, 무시당하는 기분, 대인관계 충돌), 총 21 문항으로 구성되었다. 내적합치도는 퍼빙행동 척도는 전체 문항 α=.92, 하위요인은 α=.80～.92 범위로 나타났으며, 퍼빙경험 척도는 α=.95, 하위요인은 α=.91～.97로 나타나 전체적으로 양호하였다. 퍼빙행동 척도는 파트너 퍼빙 척도, 단축형 스마트폰 중독척도(SAS-SV), 그리고 분열형성격장애 척도와 유의미한 상관을 보였고, 퍼빙경험 척도는 사회성 유대감척도와 편집성 척도와의 관계에서 유의한 결과가 나타나 적절한 수렴타당도를 보였다. 퍼빙행동은 스마트폰 사용시간에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났으며, 퍼빙경험은 스마트폰 사용자의 연령대에 따라 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 한국판 퍼빙 척도가 스마트폰과 관련된 대인관계 상호작용의 특성을 신뢰롭고 타당하게 측정하는 도구임을 시사한다. 향후 이 척도는 새로운 사회현상을측정하는 척도로서 스마트폰 사용으로 나타나는 다양한 문제에 대한 연구에 널리 활용될 수있다.

영문 초록

This study is conducted to translate and validate the General Scale of Pubbing and General Scale of being Phubbed developed by Chotpitayasunondh and Douglas(2018). Phubbing behavior is ignoring other people using the smartphone during interactions with others. In the first study, data from 136 adults in their 20s to 40s in Korea were collected and exploratory factor analyses were adapted. In the second study, 301 data were used to analyze confirmatory factors and verify reliability and validity. As a result of the analysis, KGSP consisted of a total of 15 items, 4-factors structure(nomophobia, interpersonal conflict, self-isolation, and problem recognition). and KGSBP consisted of a total of 21 items, 3-factor structure(norm recognition, ignored mood, interpersonal conflict). In addition, the internal consistency of KGSP and KGSBP was good (KGSP full Scale ჲ = .92, The sub-factor ჲ =.80, KGSBP full scale ჲ= .95, sub-factor ჲ=.91～.97 ). In the correlation analysis, the KGSP showed statistically significant correlations with the partner phubbing scale, Smartphone Addiction Scale-Short version (SAS-SV), and Schizotypal Personality Questionnaire. in addition, KGSBP showed significant correlations with the Connectedness and the Social Assurance Scales and Paranoid scale. Finally, as a result of examining the difference in demographic factors, there was a significant difference in KGSP score according to the smartphone usage time, and a significant difference in KGSBP score according to smartphone usage age. in conclusion, KGSP and KGSBP can be used reliably and reasonably in measuring phubbing behavior, which is an interpersonal problem caused by a smartphone. In addition, the valid scale will be used as a measure of new social phenomena and contribute to the study of problems caused by the use of smartphones.
