국문 초록

본 연구는 유아교사의 교사효능감과 직업정체성의 관계에서 경력몰입의 매개효과를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 유아교사 416명을 대상으로 교사효능감, 경력몰입, 직업정체성을 알아보았다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 23.0 프로그램을 이용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 중다회귀분석, 매개분석을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 유아교사의 교사효능감, 경력몰입, 직업정체성 간에는 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 유아교사의 교사효능감과 경력몰입은 직업정체성에 유의미한 영향력이 있으며, 유아교사의 교사효능감과 직업정체성의 관계에서 경력몰입은 부분매개효과를 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 통해 유아교사의 교사효능감과 경력몰입은 직업정체성을 긍정적으로 예측하는 주요변인이라는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과는 유아교사의 직업정체성을 향상시키기 위해서는 주요 예측변인인 교사효능감과 경력몰입이 향상되도록 지원해주어야 함을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine the mediating effect of the career commitment on the relationship between the teacher efficacy and job identity of early childhood teachers. The subjects were 416 early childhood teachers in Gangwon-do. The analysis of the data was conducted with correlation analysis, a 3-step mediation analysis(Bron & Kenny), and the Sobel Test. The findings of this study were as follows. First, the teacher efficacy, career commitment, and job identity of early childhood teachers were significantly correlated. Second, the teacher efficacy explained 33% of this relationship and that explanation increased by 11% to 44% with the addition of career commitment. Also, the career commitment had a partial mediation effect on the relationship between the teacher efficacy and job identity of early childhood teachers. The results suggest that we might enhance the job identity of early childhood teachers by improving not only their teacher efficacy but also their career commitment.
