보훈의 의미에 관한 국민인식 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 기존 연구와 달리, 보훈 가치와 공헌 유형별로 분류하여 각각의 보훈인식에 미치는 영향요인을 분석하였다. 이러한 유형별 보훈인식이 보훈에 대한 자기평가와 사회에 대한 평가에 미치는 영향도 함께 분석하였다. 공헌 유형에 따른 보훈인식 영향요인을 살펴보기 위해 두 가지 연구 방법을 사용하였다. 종속변수인 보훈인식은 리커트 척도(Likert Scale)로 측정되었기 때문에 순서형 로지스틱 회귀분석(Ordered Logistic Regression)을 실시하였다. 공헌 유형별 헌신에 대한 인정평가, 경제적 보상에 대한 동의 정도, 감사하는 문화 조성에 동의하는 정도를 동일한 가중치로 평균 계산하여 ‘보훈인식지수’를 생성하고 다중회귀분석(Multiple Linear Regression)을 실시하여 종속변수인 보훈인식지수에 독립변수가 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 보훈인식이 보훈에 대한 자기평가와 사회평가에 미친 영향을 분석하기 위해 유형별 보훈인식지수를 독립변수로 추가하고 순서형 로지스틱 회귀분석을 진행하였다. 보훈인식 수준에 미치는 영향은 보훈 유형별로 다르게 나타났다. 연령이 높을수록 독립운동과 국가수호 공헌에 대한 보훈인식 수준이 높지만, 민주화운동 공헌에 대한 인식 수준은 낮았다. 남성일수록 민주화운동 보훈인식이 낮고 공무수행, 국방의무 유형의 보훈인식은 높았다. 학력 수준이 높을수록, 소득이 높을수록 보훈인식 수준도 높았으나 소득변수는 민주화운동 공헌 유형에서, 학력변수는 새로운 공헌 유형에서 영향을 미치지 못했다. 호남에 거주하는 경우, 독립운동과 민주화운동 공헌에 대한 보훈인식 수준이 높게 나타났으며 자녀가 있는 경우 대부분 보훈 유형에서 일관되게 보훈인식이 낮았다. 보훈에 대한 평가와 관련해 남성일수록, 연령이 높을수록, 가족 중에 보훈대상자가 있는 경우, 자신의 보훈인식 수준과 실천 수준을 높게 평가했다. 민주화운동 보훈인식지수가 높으면 보훈에 대한 자기평가가 낮고 사회평가가 높게 나타났으며 국가수호 보훈인식지수가 높은 경우 사회평가가 낮게 나타났다.

영문 초록

Unlike previous studies, this study analyzed the factors affecting the perception of contribution by classifying it by type of contribution and contribution to the country and society. In addition, the effect of each type of contribution recognition on self-evaluation of contribution and evaluation of society was also analyzed. Two research methods were used to examine the factors affecting the recognition of contribution according to the type of contribution. Contribution recognition as a dependent variable was measured by Likert Scale, so Ordered Logistic Regression(OLR) was performed. The Contribution Recognition Index was created by calculating the average of acknowledgment of commitment , agreeing on economic compensation , and agreeing with the creation of a culture of gratitude with the same weight. Multiple Linear Regression(MLR) was performed to analyze the influence of the independent variable on the Contribution Recognition Index, which is the dependent variable. To analyze the effect of contribution recognition on self-evaluation and social evaluation of the contribution, ordinal logistic regression analysis was performed by adding the Contribution Recognition Index for each type as an independent variable. According to the results of the study, the effect on the level of contribution recognition was different for each type of contribution. The older the age, the higher the level of recognition of veterans recognition for the contribution to the independence movement and national defense, but the lower level of recognition for the contribution to the democratization movement. Compared to women, men have lower awareness of contribution to the democratization movement and higher awareness of veterans recognition of the types of public service and national defense. The higher the educational level and the higher the income, the higher the level of recognition of contribution. People living in the Honam region had a high level of recognition for their contributions to the independence movement and democratization movement. In the case of having children, the recognition of contribution was consistently low in most of the merit types. Regarding the evaluation of the contribution, the higher the male, the higher the age, and the higher the level of recognition and practice of his/her contribution if there is a veteran beneficiary in the family. In response to the evaluation of the contribution, when the Contribution Recognition Index for the democratization movement was high, self-evaluation of merit was low and social evaluation was high.
