장애여성의 모성경험에 대한 현상학적 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애여성의 모성경험을 심층적으로 이해하고자 현상학적 조사를 수행하였다. 지체와 뇌병변 장애여성 6명을 대상으로 심층 면접을 실시하여 자료를 수집, 분석하였다. 장애여성의 모성경험에대한 연구결과로서 ‘장애, 여성, 엄마, 사회 속 정체성 찾기!’라는 대주제와 ‘네가 여자였니’, ‘엄마가되었어요’, ‘들리나요? 장애, 여성, 엄마의 목소리가’라는 3개의 하위주제들을 도출하였다. 장애여성은모성경험을 통해 사회적 편견과 사회가 부여한 여성의 무성적 정체성에 맞서야 했으나 장애인으로서어머니노릇을 수행하기 위해 사회적 관계에서의 소통과 조화를 이루는 것 또한 필요하다는 것을 스스로 인식할 수 있게 된다. 즉, 장애여성에게 임신, 출산 및 자녀양육을 통한 모성경험은 ‘사회참여 기회를 확대하여 자신의 목소리를 높이고 ’장애인, 여성, 어머니‘로서의 자아정체성을 통합·성숙시켜나갈 수있는 기회가 될 수 있다. 본 연구결과는 장애여성의 젠더적 정체성에 대한 사회문화적 편견의 극복과그들의 모성적 역량을 인정․강화시킬 수 있는 사회복지실천전략의 필요성을 시사하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study has focused on deeply understanding their voice in perspective of motherhood experience of women with disabilities. For achieving phenomenological research was applied. The participants were physical disabled women. An in-depth interview was held individually with question of how is the experience of motherhood with disabilities? . The data collection was from March of 2008 to December of 2009. The Study has derived 8 structure factor including 22 sub-categories about motherhood experience that described by interview and made up free-imaginative variation. According to wholistic context,it and derived and examined meaning of its subordinate themes that are found as the research was following. . Based on these results, this study can be a good understanding about its character and need. Also, this study could be helped specific intervention strategy in order to empower through strength perspective. The maternity experience is not only biological ones such as pregnancy, child birth, of nursing but also a new role, motherhood , to them who do not have a role as a woman. It can also be a human right. The experience is a experience as a human and a chance to understand their existence.
