국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 새터민 대학생들의 체험을 이해하고자 하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해 현재 대학진학을 앞두고 있거나 대학교에 다니고 있는 새터민들과 심층면담을 실시하여 자료를 수집하고 사례연구 접근으로 분석하였다. 연구결과, 새터민 대학생들의 체험은 북한에서 남한으로, 북한사람에서 남한사람으로, 비주류에서 주류로 넘어가는 연속적인 과정을 의미하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 근거하여 새터민들의 진로선택과 대학진학, 사회적응을 돕기 위한 실천적 지침들을 제시하였고, 본 연구의 한계를 극복하기 위한 후속연구에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to understand the experience of new citizen adolescents going on to university. To achieve this, we have collected data through in-depth interview with new citizens from North Korea, and analysed by a case study approach. As a result, the meaning of new citizen‘s experience in going on to university is a continuous overcoming process from North Korea to South Korea, from North Korean to South Korean, and from non-main-streamer to main-streamer. Based on the findings, we have suggested practical guidelines for possible supporting choices of a course, admitting to universities, and social adaptation. In addition, we have suggested what would be the required studies in order to facilitate and enhance our study.
