한 병영생활 전문상담관의 직업적응 경험에 대한 자전적 탐구

국문 초록

본 연구는 육군에서 병영생활 전문상담관으로 재직하면서 살아낸 경험에 대한 자전적 내러티브 탐구다. 나의 직업적응 경험을 질적연구 중 자전적 내러티브 탐구방법을 통해 배치 전 교육부터 시작하여 지금까지 살아낸 5년간의 경험과 의미를 내러티브적으로 담아내었다. 군 조직 내에서 상담을 전문으로 하는 병영생활 전문상담관으로서 ‘나’의 직업적응 과정을 드러내는 것이 서로 다른 분야의 상담 현장을 이해하는데 중요한 의미를 가진다고 보았다. 나의 직업 경험은 다음과 같다. 첫 번째 주제는 <설레임, 배치 전 교육>, 두 번째 주제는 <혼돈의 시작, 닥치는 대로 살아내기>, 세 번째 주제는 <만만한 계급, 고래 싸움에 새우 등 터지다>, 네 번째 주제는 <새로운 시작, 할 말은 하고 살자>, 다섯 번째 주제는 <마지막 고전, 전역인가 장기복무인가>로 도출되었다. 경험을 드러내는 과정에서 발견된 의미는 첫째, ‘나는 일하는 엄마다 : 삶의 균형’, 둘째, ‘나는 전문가다 : 비전문가의 평가에서 자유로워지기’, 셋째, ‘오래된 나를 버리다 : 지금, 여기에서 새로운 나로 거듭남‘이다. 이러한 과정은 개인적으로는 그 동안의 직업적응 과정을 돌아보는 성찰의 시간을 통해 전문적 정체성을 형성하는 계기가 되었으며, 실제적으로는 병영생활 전문상담관에 대한 처우 개선을 위한 기초 자료가 되기 위함이고, 사회적으로는 병영생활 전문상담관의 직업적 삶을 이해하고 앞으로 상담자 양성과정에서 상담 관련 분야 직업 선택에 도움이 되기 위함이다.

영문 초록

This study is an autobiographical narrative exploration of the experiences of living while serving as a military life counselor in the army. Through an autobiographical narrative inquiry method among qualitative research on my experience of adapting to work, the experience and meaning of the five years I have lived since the beginning of pre-placement education until now are narratively contained. As a counselor specializing in counseling within the military organization, it was considered that revealing the process of ‘I’ as a professional counselor for career adjustment has an important meaning in understanding the counseling field in different fields. My work experience is as follows. The first topic is , second topic is , third topic is , fourth topic is and fifth topic is derived from . The meanings discovered in the process of revealing the experience is first, ‘I am a working mother : balance of life’, second, ‘I am an expert : being free from the evaluation of non-experts’, third, ‘I abandon the old me : now, I am reborn as a new me’. This process served as an opportunity to from a professional identity through time of reflection on the personal adjustment process in the past, is intended to harm the professional life of military life counselors and to help them choose a career in counseling-related fields in the future counselor training process.
