비교과 프로그램과 핵심역량과의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 학생과 참여하지 않은 학생들 간의 핵심역량 차이를 분석함으로써, 비교과 프로그램과 핵심역량 향상과의 관련성을 검증하고 학생들의 핵심 역량개발을 위한 프로그램의 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 H 대학교 학생들을 대상으로 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 학생들과 참여하지 않은 학생들의 핵심역량의 평균 차이를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 본 연구에서는 2020년 2학기에 이루어진 핵심역량 검사에 참여한 총 1,587명의 학생의 데이터를 활용하였으며, 이 중 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 학생은 705명, 참여하지 않은 학생은 882명이었다. 두 집단 간의 핵심역량 평균차이를 분석한 결과, 비교과 프로그램에 참여한 학생들의 글로벌, 창의성, 공동체관리, 자기관리, 의사소통역량의 평균점수가 프로그램에 참여하지 않은 학생들보다 통계적으로 유의미하게 높게 나타났다. 역량별 하위 영역의 평균 차이를 분석한 결과, 역량의 하위 영역 간에 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 연구결과를 기반으로 핵심역량 증진을 위하여 비교과 프로그램 참여 도모를 위한 홍보, 핵심역량 하위 영역을 반영한 프로그램 개발, 비교과 프로그램 로드맵 제시, 교과목과 비교과 프로그램의 연계 등의 실천적 제언을 하였다.

영문 초록

This study focused on the average difference between the core competencies of students who participated in the extra-curricular program and those who did not. The core competency data of 705 students who participated in the extracurricular program and 882 students who did not participate in the extracurricular program were used. According to the results of the analysis, the average scores of global, creativity, community management, self-management, and communication skills of the students who participated in the extra-curricular program were statistically significantly higher than those of the students who did not participate. As a result of analyzing the differences in the sub-domains of each core competency, there was a difference between the sub-domains of the competency. Based on the analysis results, it suggested considerations when developing and improving extra-curricular programs to enhance core competency.
