지속가능발전교육(ESD)을 함양한 음악과 교육과정 개정 방향 연구: 생활화 영역을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 지속가능발전교육에 대한 인식과 필요성이 확대되는 과정에서 새롭게 개발되고 있는 음악과 교육과정 속에 지속가능발전의 접근 가능성을 다뤄봄으로써 음악교과를 통해 지속가능발전 태도를 함양할 수 있는 방안을 마련하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 지속가능발전(SD)과 지속가능발전교육(ESD)의 개념과 정의를 살펴보고, 지속가능발전교육의 3가지(환경적, 사회적, 경제적)관점의 핵심내용과 타 교과 교육과정에 적용된 내용을 정리하였으며, 지속가능발전교육의 핵심내용을 토대로 음악과 교육과정 생활화 영역에 적용 가능성을 제시하였다. 연구 결과로는 첫째, 교육과정이 개정될수록 사회적 관점의 요소(음악과 행사, 음악과 건강, 문화유산)가 명확하게 제시되었다. 둘째, 지속가능발전교육의 환경, 경제적 관점보다 사회·문화적 관점의 SDGs(3번, 4번, 7번)에서만 관련성을 찾을 수 있었다. 마지막으로, 지속가능발전목표의 SDGs 요소들 일부에서 생활화 영역의 요소와의 관련성을 찾아 적용시킬 수 있는 가능성을 제시하였다. 2021년 4월 교육부의 지속가능한 미래를 준비하기 위한 기초소양 및 역량 함양 교육을 강조한다는 보도자료에서 확인 할 수 있듯이 새로이 개발되는 음악과 교육과정에서는 지속가능발전의 핵심내용 및 가치방향을 이해하고, 생활화 영역을 통해 학생들이 적극적으로 지속가능발전교육을 실천할 수 있도록 개정될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to realize Education for Sustainable Development in school music education based on the unique characteristics of the music subject in the 2022 revised music curriculum, which is being newly developed in the process of increasing awareness and necessity for Education for Sustainable Development. It is meant to provide direction. To this end, the concepts and definitions of Sustainable Development and Education for Sustainable Development were reviewed, and the core contents of the three (environmental, economic, sociocultural) perspectives of Education for Sustainable Development and the contents applied to other curricula were summarized, and based on the core contents of Education for Sustainable Development, the field of making music a way of life was applied to music and curriculum. As a result of this study, first, as the curriculum was newly revised, the elements of social perspective (music and events, music and health, cultural heritage) were clearly presented. Second, the relevance was found only in the SDGs (No. 3, 4 and 7) from the socio-cultural perspective rather than the environmental and economic perspective of Education for Sustainable Development. Finally, some of the SDGs elements of Sustainable Development suggest the possibility to find and apply the relevance to the elements of making music a way of life. As can be seen in the press release that the Ministry of Education emphasizes basic literacy and competency-building education to prepare for a sustainable future in April 2021, in the newly developed music and curriculum, it is necessary to understand the core content and value direction of Sustainable Development and make It needs to be revised so that students can actively practice Education for Sustainable Development through music a way of life.
