국문 초록

교육정치학은 “누가 무엇을, 언제, 어떻게 얻을 수 있는지”를 규정하는 권력ㆍ가치 배분의 문제를 학문 탐구의 출발점으로 삼는다. 데이터 주도 경제시대에 있어서 Big Data와 이를 처리하는 AI 기술은 그 자체로 권력관계를 반영한다. 따라서 Big Data와 AI의 교육활용성과 적용가능성의 장점과 한계점 및 제도적 촉진ㆍ제어 방안 등에 대한 체계적 분석과 심층적 탐구는 교육정치학의 학문적 외연 확장과 내용체계 강화를 위한 매우 중요한 신생 연구 분야로 간주될 필요성이 있다. 이러한 문제의식에 기초하여 본 논문은 Big Data와 AI(& AIED)의 유사 개념(학습분석학, 정밀교육 등)을 확인하고 제반 정의와 쟁점 및 연구 방향을 체계적으로 확인하였다. 또한, 교육정치학의 발전 방향과 과제를 도출하기 위한 시론적 제언으로서 네 가지 영역(Big Data와 AI 및 AIED의 법적ㆍ제도 정비, 교육 데이터 정치학에 대한 비판적 연구 수행, 다학문적 협동연구 실행, 이론기반 Big Data 과학적 연구방법론 탐구)에 따른 세부적 논의와 관련 쟁점을 분석하였다.

영문 초록

Educational politics takes the issue of power and value distribution that defines “who can get what, when, and how” as the starting point for academic research. In the era of data-driven economy, Big Data and AI technology reflect the power relationship itself. Therefore, systematic analysis and in-depth investigation dealing with the advantages and limitations of the educational usage and applicability of Big Data and AI, and institutional promotion and control methods need to be regarded as a very important new research field for expanding the academic scope of educational politics. Considering these points, this paper critically analysed similar concepts (learning analysis, precision education, etc.) between Big Data and AI (& AIED), and systematically examined definitions, issues, and research directions. In addition, as suggestive ideas and related issues for deriving the future tasks of educational politics, four areas (big data, AI and AIED legal and institutional reform, critical research on educational data politics, multidisciplinary collaborative research, theory-based Big Data scientific research methodology) were explained in a detailed manner.
