교육사각지대에 관한 예비중등교사들의 메타포 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 교육사각지대에 대한 예비중등교사의 주관적 인식을 메타포 연구로 살펴보고자 실시되었다. 이를 위해 서울소재 대학 두 곳의 교직과목을 이수하고 있는 예비중등교사 130명을 대상으로 교육사각지대에 대한 은유표현을 명사형으로 나타내고, 그 이유를 기술하도록 하여 이를 분석하였다. 예비중등교사들이 응답한 교육사각지대 메타포는 총 92가지로 도출되었으며, 이는 6가지 주제(‘어두움’, ‘늘 존재하는 대상’, ‘해결과제’, ‘무관심’, ‘지원대상’, ‘기타’)로 분류되었다. 또한, 주제별 메타포와 예비중등교사의 성별, 전공대학, 학습도우미 경험과의 연관성을 분석한 결과, 유의미한 차이가 없었으나 학년에 따라서는 메타포 주제 집단 간의 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 예비중등교사 교육과 교육사각지대에 대한 학교 및 교사의 역할에 대한 논의와 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to examine the perceptions of secondary pre-service teachers on educational blind spot. 130 secondary pre-service teachers, who completed teaching courses at two universities in Seoul, were asked to create metaphors for ‘educational blind spot’ in a noun form. The metaphors categorized and analyzed based on the explanations provided by the participants. A total of 92 metaphors on educational blind spot were identified, which represents the following six themes: ‘darkness’, ‘omnipresence’, ‘task’, ‘indifference’, ‘target for support’, and ‘others’. In addition, association between six themes and participant variables such as gender, grade, learning assistant experience were examined. The result indicated the significant associations between participants grades and themes. Discussions and suggestions were presented on the role of teachers and practitioner as well as the importance of secondary teacher education for educational blind spot.
