초등학교 과학 4-1 교과서에 제시된 질문에 대한 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 초등학교 4학년 1학기 과학 교과서의 질문 형식을 단원별로 비교 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 협동적 교사 준비 프로젝트의 일환으로 개발된 교과서 질문 방략 평가도구(Text Questioning Strategies Assessment Instrument: TQSAI)를 사용하여 전체 문장을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 4학년 1학기 과학 교과서의 전체 문장은 796개이었고 질문은 245문장으로 질문이 단원별 전체 문장 대비 지나치게 많이 설정된 것으로 나타났다. 질문의 위치는 본문이나 비본문 모두 제목이나 첫 단계에 가장 많았으며, 경험적 질문보다는 대부분 비경험적 질문이 대부분이었다. 질문에 대한 구성을 다섯 가지 유형으로 구분하여 분석한 결과 수사적 질문이 가장 많았고, 가치 평가적 질문은 적었으며, 단원 간 차이에서 유의성을 나타내었다. 전체적으로 현행 초등학교 과학 4-1 교과서에 제시된 질문의 양은 다소 과도한 반면 질문의 다양성은 부족한 것으로 나타나, 향후 교과서 편찬에서 질문의 비중과 다양성에 대한 고려가 필요할 것으로 보인다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the question sentences of science textbooks in the first semester of the fourth grade of elementary school by unit and various types of questions. The entire sentences were analyzed using the Text Questioning Strategies Assessment Instrument (TQSAI), developed as part of a collaborative teacher preparation project. Both the text and the non-text were the most frequently asked questions in the title or the first stage. Most of them were non-experiential rather than empirical questions. Analysis of the composition of the questions into five types showed the most rhetorical questions, fewer valuation questions, and significance in the unit-to-unit differences. According to the study, the science textbook for the first semester of the fourth grade had 796 sentences and 245 questions, with too many questions set compared to the total sentences for each unit.
