국문 초록

본 연구는 공모교장 여부가 학교 구성원 간 협력을 매개로 역량함양 교육활동에 영향을 미칠 것이라는 가정 하에, 변인 간의 영향 관계를 살펴볼 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 「한국교육종단연구 2013」의 5차년도(2017년) 학교 조사 결과 가운데 결측치를 제외한 총 1,040개 학교의 응답 자료를 토대로 기술통계와 회귀분석을 실시하고, SPSS PROCESS macro 3.5를 활용하여 매개효과를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 공모교장이 재직하는 학교에서 역량함양 교육활동이 더 활발하게 수행되는 것으로 나타났고, 학교구성원 간 협력은 공모교장 여부와 역량함양 교육활동 간의 관계를 부분 매개하는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구 결과를 토대로, 교장이 학교 변화 촉진자의 역할을 적극 수행할 수 있도록 하는 교장임용방식의 설계를 제안하는 한편, 학교 구성원 간 협력의 촉진을 위한 시사점을 도출하여 제시하고, 연구의 한계점을 극복할 수 있는 후속연구를 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study seeks to analyze the relationship between the open recruitment system for principals and competency development activities, and the mediator effect of collaboration among school members between the two variables. Utilizing 2017 survey results of 1,040 schools from 「KELS 2013」 data set, descriptive statistics and simple regression were performed and SPSS PROCESS Macro 3.5 was used to verify the mediator effect. We found that the competency development activities are being carried out more actively in schools where the principal is appointed through the open recruitment system. In addition, the collaboration among school members was found to mediate the relationship between the open recruitment system for principals and the competency development activity. Based on the results, we suggested implications for designing the principal employment system that can motivate the principals to change schools and facilitating the collaboration among school members at the unit school level and drew suggestions for further study to overcome the limitations of this study.
