노인의 사회물리적 환경과 인지장애에 관한 연구

국문 초록

목적 : 성공적인 노화를 위해서는 신체적인 건강, 정신적 건강, 사회적 건강의 통합성이 중요하다. 건강한 노화를 위해 고령화 문제에 적절하게 대응할 수 있는 환경을 준비할 수 있도록 노인의 사회물리적 환경과 인지장애의 관련성에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. 연구방법 : 질병관리본부에서 주관한 2019년 지역사회건강조사에 참여한 229,099명 중 65세 이상 노인의 인구학적 특성은 빈도분석, 노인의 사회물리적 환경에 따른 인지장애 경험여부는 독립표본 T-검정으로 분석하였다. 연구결과 : 물리적 환경 지표에 따른 인지장애 경험 여부를 분석한 결과 모든 영역에서 물리적 환경에 만족할수록 인지장애 경험이 낮은 것으로 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타났다(p〈0.05). 또한 사회적 환경에서 타인과의 접촉빈도가 높을수록, 거주기간이 길수록 인지장애 경험 여부가 유의하게 낮게 나타났다(p〈0.05). 결론 : 연구 결과 노인의 사회물리적 환경은 인지장애에 영향을 미치는 주요한 요인임을 규명할 수 있었다. 이 결과들은 노인의 인지장애를 예방하는데 도움을 주는 근거자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

Objective : Physical, mental and social health integration are important for successful aging. In order to prepare an environment that can adequately respond to aging problems for healthy aging, we would like to examine the social and physical environment of the elderly and the relevance of cognitive impairment. Methods : Among the 229,099 people who participated in the 2019 Community Health Survey(CHS), the government sought to find out whether the elderly aged 65 or older experienced cognitive impairment due to the social and physical environment. Demographic characteristics were analyzed with frequency analysis and independent T-test for cognitive impairment experience in older adults according to their social and physical environment. Results : Analysis of cognitive impairment experiences according to physical environmental indicators showed statistically significant differences in all areas, with lower cognitive impairment experiences (p<0.05). Also, the higher the frequency of contact with others in a social environment. The longer the residence period, the lower the cognitive impairment experience (p<0.05).
