청각장애학생의 문해능력 발달 지체 원인에 관한 전문가 인식

국문 초록

이 연구는 청각장애학생의 문해능력 발달 지체 원인에 관한 전문가의 인식을 알아보기 위하여 질적 연구로 수행되었다. 청각장애교육 전문가 7명을 대상으로 포커스 그룹 면담을 진행하였다. 연구를 수행하기 전에 반구조화 질문지를 발송하여 면담 내용을 알려주었고, 청각장애학생의 문해능력 발달이 지체되는 원인에 대해 논의하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같이 요약된다. 첫째, 청각장애학생의 문해능력 발달이 지체되는 청각장애학생 개인 요인은 청력손실, 농학생의 문해능력 지체 유무, 부모교육, 농문화 접근의 어려움 등으로 구조화하였다. 둘째, 청각장애학생의 문해능력 발달이 지체되는 교사의 전문성 요인은 교육과정, 언어지도 방법, 아는 것과 가르치는 것의 차이, 교육과정 재구성, 전근발령 등으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과를 토대로 청각장애학생의 문해능력 발달의 지체 원인을 해결하고 청각장애학생과 부모, 교사를 지원할 수 있는 방안에 대한 연구의 필요성이 제기된다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted as a qualitative study to find out experts’ perceptions of the causes of developmental delays in literacy for students with hearing impairment. Seven deaf education experts were interviewed in a focus group. Before conducting the study, we sent a semi-structured questionnaire to inform the interview, and discussed the causes of delays in literacy development of students with hearing impairment. The findings are summarized as follows: First, the individual factors of students with hearing impairment who are delayed in the development of literacy skills were structured with hearing loss, delay in literacy of agricultural students, parent education, difficulty in accessing agriculture culture, etc. Second, the professional factors of teachers who are delayed in developing literacy skills for students with hearing impairment were seen as curriculum, language guidance methods, differences between what they know and what they teach, restructuring the curriculum, and move ordering. Based on the results of this study, the need for research on ways to address the causes of delays in literacy development for students with hearing impairment and support students with hearing impairment, parents, and teachers is raised.
