국문 초록

이 논문은 학생, 학부모, 교사들을 학교운영과 교육과정, 수업을 구성하는 동등한 주체로 설정하며 B시 교육청의 주도로 설립된 일종의 위탁형 대안학교인 성장학교를 선택한 학부모들의 동기와 경험을 분석한 것이다. 연구방법은 학부모들의 성장학교 선택 동기와 경험의 의미를 묻는 양적 설문 조사와 심층 인터뷰를 통한 질적 방법을 결합한 통합적인 접근을 시도하였다. 주요한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학부모들의 성장학교 선택은 획일적인 입시 위주의 주류교육문화로부터 탈주의 성격을 띠고 있었다. 둘째, 학부모들에게 성장학교 경험은 학교와 교사에 대한 신뢰를 회복한 기회로 의미화되고 있었다. 셋째, 학부모들은 성장학교에서의 자녀들의 다양한 역량 변화를 매우 긍정적으로 평가하고 있었다. 마지막으로, 학부모들은 성장학교 교육과정 운영과 자녀들의 학습활동에 직, 간접적으로 참여한 경험한 통해 학부모 역할을 성찰하면서 성장하고 있음을 보여주었다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the motives and school experiences of parents who chose a growth school, a kind of foster alternative school established by the City Office of Education, which established students, parents, and teachers as equal subjects constituting school management, curriculum, and classes. I did it. The research method attempted an integrated approach that combined a quantitative questionnaire asking parents motivation for choosing a growing school and the meaning of their experiences and a qualitative method through in-depth interviews. The main research results are as follows: First, the parents choice of a school for growth was a departure from the mainstream education culture centered on the uniform entrance exam. Second, for parents, the growth school experience was meant as an opportunity to restore trust in school and teachers. Third, parents very positively evaluate the changes in their children s various competencies in the growing school. Lastly, parents showed that they are growing by reflecting on their parents roles through the experience of directly or indirectly participating in the operation of the growth school curriculum and their children s learning activities.
