전문계 고등학생의 전공유지에 대한 사회인지요인들의 영향

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 우리나라 전문계 고등학생을 대상으로 전공유지에 대한 사회인지요인(자기효능감, 결과기대, 흥미, 사회적 지지, 사회적 장애)들의 영향을 구명하는 것이었다. 연구목적의 달성을 위해 농업, 공업, 상업, 가사, 수해양계열 각 2개교, 총 10개교 728명을 대상으로 수집된 자료를 분석에 활용하였다. 자료수집에 사용된 측정도구는, 전공유지와 전공 관련 자기효능감, 결과기대, 흥미, 사회적 지지, 사회적 장애 척도로 구성된 질문지였으며, 기술통계 및 경로분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전문계 고등학생들의 전공에 대한 흥미가 전공유지에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 전문계 고등학생들의 전공에 대한 자기효능감이 전공에 대한 결과기대와 흥미에 직접적으로, 전공유지에 흥미를 매개하여 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 전문계 고등학생의 환경적 변인이 전공유지와 개인적 변인에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 여학생의 경우 전공유지와 개인적 변인에 환경적 변인이 영향을 주는 것이 남학생 보다 크게 나타났다. 다섯째, 계열에 따른 연구모형의 분석 결과, 공업계열에서 환경적 변인이 개인적 변인에 미치는 영향이 다른 계열과는 반대로 없는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 반면, 자기효능감이 결과기대에 미치는 영향이나, 흥미가 전공유지에 미치는 영향은 공업계열이 다른 계열에 비해 크게 나타났다. 또한, 후속 연구에서, 첫째, 전문계고의 학력수준, 마이스터고나 특성화고 등의 지정여부에 따라 연구를 수행할 것과, 둘째, 계열별로 전공유지에 미치는 변인들에 대한 특징을 명확히 할 것을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to effect of social cognitive factors(self-efficacy, outcome expectation, interests, social supports, social barriers) on the major persistence of vocational high school students. The subjects for the study were 728 students in agricultural, technical, commercial, living science, fisheries & marine science high schools. A survey questionnaire was used to measure the variables of this study. The statistical method employed was mean, standard deviation, correlation, and path analysis. The major conclusions of this study were as follows. First, interests had a positive effect on major persistence in vocational high school students. Second, self-efficacy had a positive effect on outcome expectation and interests, and had a indirect effect on major persistence in vocational high school students. Third, social supports had a positive effect on major persistence, self-efficacy and outcome expectations. And social barriers had a negative effect on major persistence, outcome expectations. but social barriers had no effect on self-efficacy. Fourth, in women groups, path estimates was higher than mens groups in contextual factors to major persistence and personal factors(self-efficacy, outcome expectation) and Finally, contextual factors had no effect on personal factors(self-efficacy, outcome expectation) just in technical high school students. Base on the conclusions, several recommendations were the research should be investigated more comprehensively to include other factors(e.g. academic level) and according to sub group(agricultural, technical, commercial, living science, fisheries & marine science high schools) relations among the variables which affecting major persistence should be identified.
