국문 초록

제7차 미술과 교육과정의 초등학교 3·4학년, 5·6학년, 중학교 1·2·3학년, 고등학교 1학년의 국민공통기본 교육내용 중 조형요소와 원리에 포함되어 있는 색채지도내용은 학년의 발달단계별로 구분하여 정리, 제시하고 있지 못한 실정이다. 그러므로, 색채의 개념 인지 및 색채를 통한 시각정보의 이해, 색채이미지를 활용한 독창적 표현 등을 지도하기 위한 발달단계 및 발달특성의 모색과 교육내용 및 방법의 개발이 매우 절실히 요구된다. 따라서, 본 연구는 초등학교 1학년~6학년 아동에 대한 색채교육 내용을 재정립하기 위해서 학년의 위계보다는 인지적 발달단계-감각적 표현기·조작적 표현 1기·조작적 표현 2기·창조적 표현기-와 창의적 발달특성에 입각한 4단계 구분-자발적 표현성·기술적 적용성·심미적 향유성·다중적 독창성-을 시도하고 그에 따른 필수지도요소 및 내용 정리, 색채교육자료를 개발하였다.

영문 초록

Both quantitative and qualitative expansion has been made for the study of methods of helping students enhance their creativity through various subjects, including artistic expressions. However, little attention has been paid to the need for the study of the process for creative development of color expressions, which is a crucial formative factor of artistic expressions, and relevant curricula. There is an urgent need to study and develop educational contents and methods concerning development stages and characteristics to help students enhance their ability to understand visual information through recognition of color concepts and make their creative expressions with the help of color images. It should be pointed out that the curricula contained in the 7th Fine Arts Educational Course for third through tenth (i.e. high school freshmen) graders fail to classify the contents concerning the formative factors and principle according to the students development stages. This study attempts to classify the color education contents designed for first through six graders into four stages based on the students cognitive ability development stages and creativity development characteristics rather than their grade levels in the effort for more systematic formulation of the color education curricula. The study also presents suggestions about essential factors of teaching and the need for development of relevant educational materials as follows: First, cognitive ability development stages concerning color expressions is classified into the stage of sensuous expression, the stage of manipulative expression Phase 1, the stage of manipulative expression Phase 2, and the stage of creative expression. Second, creativity development characteristics concerning color expressions are divided into the ability for voluntary expression, technical application, esthetic recognition, and multifaceted originality. Third, selection of color education contents is itemized based on essential factors for each of the four-level stages. Fourth, materials for education of cognitive and creative expression of colors is also be classified based on essential factors for each of the four-level stages, and suggestion is made that relevant education should be carried out, using relevant explanatory materials, collection of vocabularies concerning colors, and color chips. Finally, attempt is made to look at colors traditionally cherished by Koreans in their everyday life in connection with the effort to understand the nation s color culture environment better and use them in the design industry.
