미술교육에서 전통 화조화 교육 내용에 대한 기초연구

국문 초록

본고는 전통회화의 중요 화목(畵目) 중에 하나인 화조화가 감상 및 표현활동에 활용 가능성이 높은데 비해 아직까지 구체적으로 기초연구가 이루어지지 않고 있어, 화조화의 교육적인 가치 검토와 개념정리, 선행연구 검토 및 화조화의 미술사적인 흐름 파악 그리고 주요 도판목록의 검토 등을 통해서 화조화를 바탕으로 한 전통미술교육의 활성화를 목적으로 한 연구이다. 이에 전통화조화의 교육적 가치를 소재의 친근성, 전통회화의 올바른 인식의 확대, 독립된 화목으로의 전체 미술문화의 접근 가능성, 미술활동에서의 폭넓은 사용 가능성, 타 교과의 통합의 원활함 등으로 제시하고, 문헌고찰을 통해서 미술교육에서의 화조화의 개념을 초충, 화훼, 영모가 포함된 광의의 개념으로 화조화를 보아야 한다고 주장하였다. 또한 선행연구 분석은 1980년대 이후의 화조화 관련 학위논문을 검토 분석하여 향후 화조화 교육 및 연구의 방향을 설정하였고, 마지막으로 각 시대별 주요 화조관련 유물 및 화조화를 찾아보고, 이의 도판 목록을 제시하여 각 시대별 주요 특성을 밝힘으로써 향후 화조화 관련 미술교육연구에 기초 자료가 될 수 있도록 하였다.

영문 초록

Basic Research on the Education of Painting of Birds and Flowersjang, ji seongAfter realizing the fact that there have been no prior basic researches on Birds & Flower paintings despite the fact that it holds high potential for being used in understanding and expression activities in art, a research was conducted in order to verify the main plate list, to understand the artistic flow of Birds & Flower paintings, to look over the previous researches, and to look over and summarize the educational value of Birds & Flower paintings. The familiarities of the topic, expansion of proper understanding of traditional paintings, potential of its approach to the entire art culture, possibility of its use in the art activities, and its flexibility with other fields of art were proposed as characteristics of the educational value of traditional Birds & Flower paintings. This article also proposed a wider view on Birds & Flower paintings including the concept of plants and bugs, floriculture, birds and animals in the education of the arts through the study of documentary records. Lastly, various artifacts and Birds & Flower paintings were researched for each time period, and the plate lists were proposed. The main characteristics of each time period were revealed so that they can be used as basic documents for educational research on arts of Birds & Flower paintings.
