국문 초록

본 연구는 초등교사양성기관의 미술교과교육과정에서 통합교육이 왜 필요하며 어떤 방향으로 이루어질 수 있을지 시각문화의 관점에서 모색하였다. 현대교육이론들이 다양한 교과들의 융합을 통해 삶과 교육과정을 연결시킴으로써 총체적 방식의 학습을 지향함에 따라 최근 미술교육자들 사이에도 미술 안과 밖의 다양한 영역들을 포괄하며 통합적 접근을 적극적으로 실천하려는 움직임이 커지고 있다. 그러나 성공적인 통합적 미술교육이 이루어지려면 교사들이 먼저 이에 대한 충분한 훈련과 실제적 경험을 쌓아야만 할 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 교과간의 통합이 중등보다 비교적 용이하다고 볼 수 있는 초등교육에 초점을 맞추어 예비교사들을 위한 미술교과교육에 대한 통합적 접근을 고찰하였다. 이에 필요한 이론적 기초로서 통합교육의 개념과 정당성을 고찰하였으며, 초등교사양성기관의 미술교과교육에 적용 가능한 통합교육의 유형으로서 연결형(connected), 공유형(shared), 협력형(partnership)의 3단계 모형을 고찰하였다. 진보주의에서 시각문화교육까지 현대미술교육의 흐름 안에서 통합의 성격을 살펴봄으로써 오늘날 미술교과교육에서의 통합 방향의 역사적 근거를 제시하였으며 3단계 모형을 적용한 통합적 교과교육과정의 방향을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The Need and Models for Integrated Art Education Curriculum in Korean Elementary Teacher Education: From the Perspective of Teaching Visual CultureAhn, HyeriThis study have examined why integrated approach to art education curriculum for preservice elementary teachers is needed and how it is possible in Korea from the perspective of teaching visual culture. As contemporary education theory supports holistic learning that relates students life and their learning through integrated curriculum, art educators today also are encouraged to use integrated approaches to teaching art which lead to inclusion of various disciplines inside and outside art. However, If the integrated art curriculum are successfully implemented in classes, preservice teachers should experience and practice it in their preservice training. Therefore, this study provides theoretical backgrounds of integrated approaches to art education and suggest directions and useful models-connected, shared, and partnership - of integrated art curriculum for elementary preservice teachers.
