국문 초록

이 연구는 경제적, 지리적으로 문화격차가 많은 소외지역의 학생들에게 문화예술교육의 기회를 제공하여 문화예술에 대한 친밀감을 형성하고, 정서 순화와 표현력을 도모하여 창의력 향상으로 인한 자신감과 성취감 습득을 목적으로 하는 현장연구이다. 이 연구에서 적용하는 교육 프로그램은 표현하기, 만들기, 꾸미기, 방법탐색, 전통미술 체험하기 등으로 구분되어 있다. 이러한 영역들은 학생들 자신이 직접 만들거나 디자인하여 꾸미거나 아이디어를 모색하여 표현하는 체험학습의 형태이다. 초등학교 저학년 학생들에게는 흥미와 관련되는 예술체험을 만들어 주고, 고학년 학생들에게는 흥미를 바탕으로 하여 손동작의 난이도를 높여나가면서 학생 스스로가 아이디어를 만들어 내도록 유도한다. 교육 환경이 열악한 경북 의곡 초등학교 분교에 예술 강사가 직접 교수하는 방과 후 교육의 형태이다. 1주에 1회, 14주 동안 실행했으며 1회의 교육시간은 2시간(100분)이다. 교육을 실행하기 전 학생들을 대상으로 일반적 실태와 미술교과 관련 실태를 분석하였고 교육 프로그램을 적용한 후, 미술교과의 창의력 신장을 점검하였으며 이 창의력 신장이 타 교과에 영향을 미친다는 사실을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

This thesis is a case study of improving creativity through providing the students in an economically, socially, culturally isolated region with proper opportunities of art and cultural education. Experiences with respect to beauty are likely to enhance capabilities of creative expression and critical judgment through aesthetic sensitivity. By providing students with a variety of visual and tactile experiences, the program in this study uses these experiences to promote active aesthetic interactions and to cultivate the capabilities in students for creative expression. In order to achieve this goal, the program creator applied art education program such as painting, making, decorating, Korean traditional art in a form of afterschool program. Experience of art activity related with their interests was emphasized for the lower grades of elementary school students. For the higher grades of students, the program creator encouraged students to create new idea while enhancing the level of their hand activities. This education was practiced once a week for fourteen weeks (one class is 2 hours). After applying this program to students, the program creator found two important results. First, this program contributed to improving students creativity in art class. Second, the self-confidence acquired in art class led to enhance academic performance in other subjects.
