유아의 초등학교 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 구조적 관계 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 초등학교 적응에 영향을 미치는 어머니-유아 상호작용, 교사-유아 상호작용, 유아의 사회적 유능감 및 학업능력의 구조적 인과관계를 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국아동패널자료의 7차년도와 8차년도의 자료를 토대로 결측없이 응답한 805명을 대상으로 구조방정식 모형을 통하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니-유아 상호작용, 교사-유아 상호작용은 유아의 사회적 유능감에, 유아의 사회적 유능감은 학업능력에, 교사-유아 상호작용, 사회적 유능감, 학업능력은 유아의 초등학교 적응에 직접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니-유아 상호작용은 초등학교 적응에 유아의 사회적 유능감과 학업능력이 완전매개역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 유아의 초등학교 적응에 어머니-유아 상호작용, 교사-유아 상호작용, 유아의 사회적 유능감, 학업능력이 중요하며, 유아의 초등학교 적응을 높이기 위해서는 이러한 경로를 고려한 지원이 요구된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural causal relationships between mother-child interactions, teacher-child interactions, children’s social competence, and academic ability that affects the elementary school adjustment of children. For this study, data based on the 7th and 8th years of the Panel Study on Korean Children analyzed through a structural equation model. The study found that mother-child interactions, teacher-child interactions, children’s social competence, and academic ability did directly affect the elementary school adjustment of children. Furthermore, analysis on mother-child interactions showed that they play a full role in the social and academic abilities of infants in relevance to elementary school adjustment. These results show that mother-child interactions, teacher-child interactions, children’s social competence, and academic ability are important factors in the elementary school adjustment of children, and that the program needs to be developed in consideration of these variables.
