국문 초록

본 연구는 다문화 수용태도에 주목하여 미시적인 차원에서의 영향요인을 인구사회학적 요인, 접촉 요인, 사회활동 요인으로 구분하여 다문화 수용태도에 미치는 영향요인을 탐색하고, 관련 실천방안 및 학술적 연구의 단초를 제공하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 2019년에 공개된 여성가족부의 <2018년 일반국민 다문화수용성조사> 자료를 이용하였다. 조사대상은 전국의 만 19세∼74세를 대상으로 성인 남녀 4,000명(남 2,036명, 여 1,970명)을 분석에 활용하여 빈도분석, 기술통계분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 본 연구에서 투입한 독립변수 중에서 통계적으로 유의한 영향력을 보인 것은 연령, 성별, 직업유무, 가구소득, 해외여행 빈도, 다문화활동 참여수준, 대중매체 다문화 경험수준이 통계적으로 유의한 영향력을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학력, 외국이주민 친구수, 외국이주민 친구와의 대화/만남 빈도, 동료/이웃 이주민과 갈등경험, 다문화교육 참여빈도는 통계적으로 유의하게 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 외국인과 다문화 가정이 급속히 증가하고 있는 현실에서 광범위한 제도와 국가정책을 마련하기 위해서는 우선적으로 미시적인 차원에서의 개인별, 지역별 특성을 면밀히 고찰하고, 이를 반영한 프로그램 개발과 운영에 대한 검토가 요청된다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on multicultural acceptance attitudes and divides the influencing factors at the microscopic level into demographic factors, individual factors, and social activity factors to explore factors influencing multicultural acceptance attitudes. For this study, data from the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family s <2018 Public Multicultural Acceptance Survey>, which was released in 2019, were used. The subjects of the survey were 4,000 men and women (2,036 men and 1,970 women) of 19 to 74 years old nationwide, and conducted multiple regression analysis. As a result of the study, among the independent variables introduced in this study, the statistically significant influence was shown by age, gender, job status, household income, overseas travel frequency, multicultural activity participation level, and multicultural experience level in mass media. Appeared to look. However, academic background, number of foreign immigrant friends, frequency of conversation/meeting with foreign immigrant friends, conflict experiences with fellow/neighbor migrants, and frequency of participation in multicultural education were not statistically significant. Therefore, in order to prepare a wide range of institutions and national policies in the context of a rapidly increasing number of foreigners and multicultural families, it is first required to carefully examine individual and regional characteristics at a microscopic level, and to develop and operate programs reflecting them.
