상담심리 전공 학부생의 봉사활동 경험에 대한 질적 사례 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 봉사활동을 통하여 상담심리 전공 학부생들이 어떠한 경험을 하는지를 탐구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 상담심리학과 대학생들을 대상으로 연구참여자를 모집하였고, 자발적으로 신청하고 선정된 5명을 대상으로 면대면 면담을 실행하였다. 수집된 자료는 Stake(1995)가 제안한 질적 사례 연구의 분석 절차에 따라 분석하였다. 분석 결과 5개의 범주, 16개의 하위 범주, 58개의 의미 단위로 범주화되었다. 범주 내용으로는 ‘새로운 활동의 시작, 자원봉사’, ‘조금씩 삶에 스며드는 봉사활동’, ‘성장하는 나’, ‘봉사를 통한 진로 탐색’, ‘능동적인 봉사인으로 거듭나기’이다. 본 연구의 참여자들은 의미 있는 봉사활동을 통해 변화하고 성장하며 진로를 검증하는 경험을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구의 결과는 상담심리 전공 학부생들을 대상으로 하는 봉사활동의 교과 개발, 봉사활동을 활용한 상담 및 집단 프로그램 개발에 필요한 기초적인 정보와 자료를 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to investigate the experiences of undergraduate students majoring in counseling psychology through volunteer activities. For this purpose, face-to-face interviews was conducted with 5 selected students in counseling psychology. The collected data were analyzed according to the analysis procedure of the qualitative case study proposed by Stake(1995). The results of the analysis were categorized into 5 categories, 16 subcategories, and 58 semantic units. The categories include ‘Start a new activity, volunteer!’, ‘Volunteer that gradually permeate life’, ‘Growing’, ‘Career search through Volunteer’, ‘Being an active volunteer’. The participants showed that they had experiences that changed and grew through meaningful volunteer activities. The results of this study are meaningful in that it presented basic information and data necessary for the development of volunteer activities, counseling through using volunteer activities, and group programs for undergraduate students majoring in counseling psychology.
