국문 초록

현재 초등학교 현장에서 적용되고 있는 3, 4학년 미술교과서는 합본체재로 인한 내용 구성체계의 변화, 교과서 크기가 커짐으로 인한 편집 및 디자인적 측면의 변화, 현장 활용도를 높이기 위한 부록의 추가 등 전반적으로 7차 교육과정에 따른 미술과 교과서와는 많은 차이를 가지고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 변화된 3, 4학년 미술교과서의현장적합성 관련 연구는 다소 미흡한 실정이다. 더군다나 조만간 3, 4학년 미술교과서는 더 이상 국정도서 개발체제에서 머물지 않고 검인정 체제로 바뀔 예정이다. 따라서본 연구는 이러한 전환점에서 현재 적용중인 2007년 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교미술교과서의 현장 적합성을 검토하는데 목적을 둔다. 연구 내용으로는 먼저 초등학교미술교과서의 특징과 역할을 살펴보고, 3, 4학년 합본 체재가 종전의 7차 미술과 교육과정에 따른 분권별 교과서와 어떠한 차별성을 두고 제작되어졌는지 살펴보고 난 다음, 현장교사들이 생각하는 3, 4학년 미술교과서의 현장 적합성에 대한 생각은 어떠한지를 설문조사하여 분석하고자 한다. 설문에 들어간 내용은 교과서 합본에 대한 교사들의 의견, 편집 및 디자인에 대한 의견, 단원의 내용 구성 및 수준에 대한 의견, 교육과정과의 연계 및 기타 의견을 중심으로 조사하였다. 본 연구는 현재 개발되고 있는 3,4학년 검인정 교과서를 비롯한 내년에 개발될 5, 6학년 교과서 개발을 위한 기초자료가 되기를 희망한다.

영문 초록

Visual arts textbook being currently used for the 3rd and 4th grade of primary school has a big difference from those of the 7th curriculum with respect to change in formation due to binding system, change in edition and design due to bigger volume of textbooks, addition of appendices for better use at the site and so on. Nevertheless, study on suitability of revised textbook for the 3rd and 4th grade of primary school for the site is somewhat insufficient. Furthermore, official approval system instead of statedesignation system will apply to visual arts textbook for the 3rd and 4th grade sooner or later. At this turning point, this study intends to review site suitability of visual arts textbook for primary school according to 2007revised curriculum being currently used. The study first looks into characteristics and role of visual arts textbook for primary school; it investigates how differently the binding system of the 3rd and 4th grade textbook are manufactured in comparison with part-wise textbook according to the previous 7th curriculum; it will carry out a survey of site teachers’ opinion how they feel site suitability of visual arts textbook for the 3rd and 4th grade; and then, it will make an analysis. Contents for the survey include teachers’ opinion on textbook binding, edition and design,formation and level of units, connection with curriculum and others. It is expected that this study will be basic data not only for the 3rd and 4th grade authorized textbook being presently developed but also for development of the 5th and 6th grade textbook to be made next year.
