액션페인팅의 학습 내적동기 유발 기능을 적용한 교수-학습 프로그램 효과 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구는 학습의 적극적 참여를 이끌어내는 내적재미(intrinsic interest) 강화를 위한 미술교육프로그램 연구의 일환으로서 액션페인팅의 교육적 기능과 효과를 살펴보고 효과적인 교과과정화를 위한 교수-학습 방법을 탐색하는 데에 목적을 두고 있다. 액션페인팅은 치유적 기능과 함께 신체활용과 드리핑 방식으로 드러내는 조형놀이의 유희적 성격을 가지고 있기 때문에 인지적, 정서적, 신체적, 사회적 성장을 도모할 수 있다. 특히 행위가 만들어내는 시각적 결과물의 우연적이고즉흥적인 측면은 상상력과 창조성 계발의 가능성을 제시한다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 자결성 이론에 기초하여 액션페인팅의 자율적·자발적·유희적 측면과 전면회화방식을 활용한 미술교육프로그램을 진행하여 액션페인팅 수업의 내적동기(자결성) 상승 효과를 탐색하였다. 액션페인팅은 자율성이 강조되는 특성 때문에 학교수업에 적용하기 위해서는 방임적 현상과 안정상의 문제, 수업운용의 통제·관리의 균형 등이 중요하다. 따라서 학교에서의 적용을 감안하여 개방과 통제의 균형을 갖춘 새로운 교육 패러다임으로 대두되는 메이커 교육 학습모형 중 TMSI 모형을 적용하였다. 연구결과로는 개인적 차원에서는 자율성과 자신감 충족에 의한 내적동기 상승, 사회적 차원에서는 소속감과 유대감 충족에서 오는 관계성 부분에서 액션페인팅 수업이 가장 큰 효과를 보였다. 이를 토대로 확장된 미술교육 프로그램 적용을 위해 교과과정에 필요한 행정적 뒷받침과 교사의 노력과 역할을 제언하였다

영문 초록

This article is an attempt to demonstrate the educational impact and function of Action Painting with an applicable teaching method in order to develop an effective and experiment art education program for school curriculum. First, I discuss the therapeutic and amusing aspects of Action Painting involving typically the free and dripping, dribbling, or throwing paint on canvas in relation to theory of spontaneity, which sets out the possibility of Action Painting classroom for cognitive, physical, and social growth empowering intrinsic interest of learners. Based on previous studies and theory of spontaneity, the present research was conducted to demonstrate the effect of Action Painting with TMSI teaching model, which is a new teaching-learning method of Maker Education in order to maintain balance of control and openness of classroom. The result exhibits the positive effect of TMSI-based Action Painting classroom on both personal and social level of learners. With the result, this study conclusively proposes the administrative and economic improvement and teachers’ roles as well to be applied in school curricula to efficiently examine Action Painting classroom for strengthening future competencies of learners.
