국문 초록

본 연구에서는 시각적 사고를 적용한 기후변화 교육 관련 창의적 체험활동 수업이 초등학교 고학년 학생들의 기후변화에 대한 인식·지식·태도와 환경소양에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 B광역시 G초등학교 1개 학급 26명을 실험집단, 다른 1개 학급 23명을 비교집단으로 구성하여 실험집단은 시각적 사고를 적용한 기후변화 교육 수업을 실시하였고, 비교집단은 일반적인 설명식 기후변화 수업을 진행하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 시각적 사고를 적용한 기후변화 교육 관련 창의적 체험활동 수업은 초등학교 고학년 학생들의 기후변화에 대한 인식·지식·태도에 전체적으로 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 특히 인식과 지식 영역의 유의한 향상이 일어났다. 둘째, 시각적 사고를 적용한 기후변화 교육 관련 창의적 체험활동 수업은 초등학교 고학년 학생들의 환경소양에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 특히 인지적·정의적 영역의 유의한 향상이 일어났다. 시각적 사고를 적용한 기후변화 교육 관련 창의적 체험활동 수업은 초등학교 고학년 학생들이 기후변화와 환경 문제에 대응하고 적응하는 데에 효과적인 학습 프로그램이라고 판단된다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect creative experiential activity lessons with visual thinking related to climate change education on higher grade elementary school students’ perception, knowledge, attitude about climate change and environmental literacy. The subjects of this study consisted of 26 students in one class as a experimental group and 23 other students of other class as comparison group in G elementary school at B Metropolitan City. The experimental group had creative experiential activity lessons with visual thinking related to climate change education, and on the other hand the comparison group had creative experiential activity lessons with teacher’s explanation related to climate change education. The results of this study were as follows: Firstly, creative experiential activity lessons using visual thinking related to climate change education had a positive significant effect on higher grade students’ perception, knowledge, and attitude about climate change, especially perception and knowledge. Secondly, creative experiential activity lessons using visual thinking related to climate change education had a positive significant effect on higher grade students’ environmental literacy, especially cognitive and affirmative domain. It is judged that the creative experiential activity lessons with visual thinking related to climate change education is an effective learning program for high grade elementary school students to respond to and adapt to climate change and environmental problems.
