안성 내리에 거주하는 고려인 학생들의 인식과 삶: 다문화국제혁신학교 K초등학교의 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

요약 : 중앙아시아로 향하던 고려인 강제이주의 열차는 지금도 러시아, 중앙아시아 그리고 한국을 오가며 힘겹게 달리고 있다. 지금 이 순간에도 한국으로 이주해 온 고려인 학생들은 어려운 여건 속에서도 환경에 적응하고 온전한 정착을 위해 고군분투하고 있다. 급증하고 있는 고려인 학생들, 한국어 사용 능력의 부족함, 한국인 학생들과의 소통 부족, 교과 및 생활 지도의 어려움으로 인해 고려인 학생들에게 보다 주목할 필요가 있었다. 이주의 과정과 이주지에서의 정착 경험을 고려인 아동의 시각에서 적극적으로 이해할 필요가 있었던 것이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 연구자가 근무하고 있는 학교에 재학 중인 고려인 학생들 14명의 목소리에 귀 기울여 그들의 인식과 삶을 심층 면담을 통해 살펴보았다. 이주 전 생활, 이주 과정, 고려인으로서의 정체성, 한국에서의 학교생활 및 가정생활, 진로 등에 초점을 두어 심층 면담을 실시하였다. 심층 면담의 모든 내용은 녹음하고 전사해서 반복적으로 검토하여 고려인 학생들의 인식과 삶에 대한 특징적인 점을 ‘본국에서의 경험과 기억, 한국 이주의 목적, 본국에 있는 친척들과의 네트워크, 한국인으로서의 정체성, 고려인 역사교육의 필요성, 한국 생활에 대한 만족도, 한국어 습득의 어려움, 일터로 나가는 부모님, 한국에서 계속 살고 싶어요, 방과 후에 그리고 주말에 무엇을 하는가, 고려인 학생들의 꿈’으로 총 11가지를 추출하였다. 이를 통해 능동적 행위자이자 삶의 주체로서의 고려인 학생들의 인식과 삶을 드러낼 수 있었다. 이어서 심층 면담의 결과 분석과 해석을 바탕으로 추후 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 제언을 하였다. 고려인 학생들의 인식과 삶에 대한 정확한 이해는 한국인 학생들과 고려인 학생들 간의 소통과 융화를 이루고 학교 교육과정 및 고려인 역사교육 프로그램을 적실하게 설계하기 위한 기반이 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The train of the Korean forced immigrants, which was heading to Central Asia, is still running through Russia, Central Asia and Korea. At this moment, the Korean students who have moved to Korea are struggling to adjust to the environment and to settle down despite the difficult conditions. The rapidly increasing Korean(Goryeo People) students, lack of Korean language proficiency, lack of communication with Korean students, and difficulty in teaching and living led to the need for attention. It was necessary to actively understand the process of migration and the experience of settlement in the place of migration from the perspective of Korean children. In this study, we listened to the voices of 14 Korean students in the school where the researcher works, and examined their perceptions and lives through in-depth interviews. In-depth interviews focused on pre-migration life, migration process, identity as Korean, school life and family life in Korea, and career. All the contents of the in-depth interview were recorded, transcribed, and repeatedly reviewed, and a total of 11 characteristics of the students’ perceptions and life were extracted. The contents are as follows: Experience and memory in home country, purpose of immigration to Korea, network with relatives in my home country, identity as a Korean, the need for Korean history education, satisfaction with life in Korea, difficulty in acquiring Korean, parents going to work, continued in Korea I want to live, what do you do after school and on the weekends. Through this, students’ perception and life as an active actor and subject of life were revealed. Subsequently, based on the analysis and interpretation of the results of in-depth interviews, suggestions were made for future directions.
