대학생의 학과만족도와 진로스트레스의 관계에 대한 진로성숙도의 조절효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 학과만족도와 진로스트레스가 어떠한 관계를 보이는지 파악하고 진로성숙도가 그 관계를 어떻게 조절하는지를 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구대상은 강원도 춘천시 소재 대학 3학년 재학생 693명으로 남학생 326명, 여학생 367명이었다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 대학생의 학과만족도와 진로스트레스, 진로성숙도의 관계를 분석하였으며, 대학생의 학과만족도와 진로스트레스의 관계를 진로성숙도가 어떻게 조절하는지를 검증하기 위해 학과만족도와 진로성숙도의 상호작용항이 투입된 일련의 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 학과만족도와 진로성숙도는 전반적으로 진로스트레스와 의의 있는 부적 상관을 나타냈다. 한편 학과만족도와 진로스트레스의 관계에 대한 진로성숙도의 조절효과를 분석한 결과 진로성숙도 중 결정성, 성향, 타협성은 학과만족도와 진로스트레스의 부적 관계를 강화하는 조절효과를 보였으나, 참여도와 독립성은 의의 있는 조절효과를 보이지 않았다. 위의 연구결과들을 바탕으로 대학생의 진로스트레스에 대한 올바른 인식과 스트레스를 조절하기 위한 대학생의 진로교육, 지도방법에 대해 논의되었으며 대학생에 대한 개별 진로상담의 필요성이 시사되었다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the relationships between college students` satisfaction of major and career stress, and to test whether those relationships, if any, differ depending on their levels of career maturity that consists of five factors of decisiveness, involvement, independence, orientation, compromise. 693 college students participated in the study. Significants negative relationships were found between college students` satisfaction of major and career stress, A series of multiple regression analyses showed that college students` satisfaction of major and interaction terms of satisfaction of major and career maturity explained 10.4% of variance of career stress. The negative relationships between college students` satisfaction of major and career stress was moderated negatively by three factors of career maturity; decisiveness, orientation, and compromise, but not by two factors of that: involvement and independence. These imply that the negative relationships between college students` satisfaction of major and career stress were stronger when they have higher career maturity. These findings were discussed in terms of improving college students` career development in the context of college education and counseling.
