평생학습도시 네트워크의 특성과 구조변수의 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 지역 평생교육 활성화의 일환으로 추진된 평생학습도시의 평생교육기관 및 유관기관 네트워크에서 선호되는 네트워크 구조변수를 실증적으로 분석하는 것을 연구목적으로 하였다. 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 A 평생학습도시의 기관 간 네트워크 참여기관 간의 연결망 조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과 166개 기관의 연결망 자료가 수집되었고, 연결망의 특성과 구조변수의 영향을 검증하기 위한 사회연결망 분석이 실시되었다. 분석결과 및 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, A 평생학습도시 네트워크는 네트워크 참여 기관 간의 연결망이 다양하게 구축되어 있고, 특정 기관의 경우 상대적이기는 하지만 연결중심성과 구조적 공백이 동시에 존재하는 특징을 보였다. 둘째, 구조변수 중 호혜성은 A 평생학습도시 네트워크가 형성되는데 중요한 역할을 하였으며, 인기도나 확산경향을 통제변수로 투입하였어도 유의미한 영향이 발견되었다. 구조변수 중 간접관계효과, 이행성, 인기도도 A 평생학습도시 네트워크의 형성에 유의미한 영향을 주었다. 반면에 단방향 의존성과 확산경향은 A 평생학습도시 네트워크의 형성에 부적 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 분석결과에 대한 논의 및 시사점을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the structural variables influencing the formation and maintenance of the network in A Korean learning city. For this purpose, network data were collected from the 166 institutes participating lifelong learning network in A city. Social network analysis was used for analyzing the characteristics of network and structural variable, especially centrality, structural hole, and ERGM (Exponential Random Graph Model). Through these analyses, the findings were as follows: First, the result showed that both centrality and structural hole were the characteristics of network in A learning city. Therefore, some of the institutes were leading nods and some of the institutes were connected indirectly. Second, the result showed that the coefficients reciprocity variable was statistically significant and more influential positively than other variables. Also transitivity, structural hole, and spreading pattern were statistically significant and influential positively. Third, popularity and arc were statistically significant and influential negatively. On the bases of these findings, suggestions were discussed.
