한국과 일본의 고등학교 수학과 교육과정 내용 비교

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 한국과 일본의 최신 개정 고등학교 수학과 교육과정의 교육내용을 비교 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 차기 교육과정 개정과 관련한 시사점을 도출하였다. 두 국가의 고등학교 수학과 교육과정에서 기술되고 있는 내용을 학년별 내용 요소, 도입 시기를 중심으로 분석한 결과, 우리나라와 일본에서 다루는 고등학교 수학 내용은 상당히 중복되는 내용이 많았지만, 일본이 우리나라보다 통계와 기하 영역을 이른 시기에 도입하여 점진적으로 심화시켜 다루고 있고, 우리나라에서 지도하지 않는 행렬, 이산 그래프, 복소평면에 관한 내용도 다루고 있었다. 일본은 우리나라 공통과목 <수학>의 내용 중 이차방정식과 이차함수, 도형의 이동, 집합과 명제 등을 제외한 대부분을 우리나라보다 늦게 도입하지만, 고등학교 2학년부터는 우리나라와 동일한 내용 수준을 다루고 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 수학 학습 수준을 고려한 내용의 연계성, 미래 사회 대비 등을 고려한 내용의 선정과 조직, 통계 영역의 내용 및 다루는 시기와 방법 등 고등학교 수학과 교육과정의 내용에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study comparatively analyzes the contents of the latest revision of the high school mathematics curriculum in Korea and Japan, and draws implications for the next curriculum revision. The results of the analysis on the contents described in the high school mathematics curriculum of the two countries, focusing on the content elements of each grade and the timing of introduction, showed that the contents of high school mathematics in Korea and Japan were much overlapped. In Japan, Geometry and Statistics were introduced at earlier stage than in Korea and advanced levels were covered gradually. They also cover matrices, discrete graphs, and complex planes. In the first year of high school, the two nations cover the same contents and level in mathematics curriculum but the timing of adopting the contents is much earlier in Korea but from the second year of high school, the curriculum of the two nations cover the same contents and levels. Based on these findings, the study suggested implications for curriculum of mathematics education, including the contents alignment, considering the level of mathematics learning, selection and composition of the contents to prepare for a future society and the timing and methods of covering statistics.
