국문 초록

본 연구에서는 미혼남녀의 아동기 학대와 부부폭력 목격 경험이 부모됨 결정에 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고, 이러한 관계에서 자아탄력성과 양육효능감이 순차적으로 직렬매개하는 경로를 밝혀보고자 하였다. 본 연구 대상은 서울, 부산 등 7개 지역에서 학교 또는 직장을 다니는 20-30대 미혼남녀 282명으로, 연구도구는 아동기 학대, 부부폭력 목격 경험, 자아탄력성, 양육효능감, 그리고 부모됨 결정에 관한 인식 척도를 사용하였다. 수집된 자료는 기술통계, 빈도분석, 상관관계 분석, SPSS Process Macro model 6를 사용하여 직렬매개 분석을 실시하였으며, 간접효과의 유의성을 검증하기 위해 부트스트래핑(bootstrapping)방법을 사용하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동기 학대 경험은 부모됨에 직접적으로 영향을 미치지 않았다. 그러나 아동기 학대 경험은 자아탄력성과 양육효능감의 순차적 매개 효과를 통해 부모됨 결정에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 부부폭력 목격 경험은 부모됨에 직접적인 영향을 미쳤다. 그러나 자아탄력성과 양육효능감을 투입하면 부부폭력 목격 경험은 부모됨 결정에 영향을 미치지 않았으나, 자아탄력성과 양육효능감의 순차적 매개 효과를 통해 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과들은 미혼남녀의 부모됨 결정에 대한 긍정적 인식 형성을 위해 자아탄력성 증진 및 양육효능감 형성에 중점을 두는 보다 체계적인 예비부모교육을 실시하는 것이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine whether the experience of child abuse and of witnessing spousal violence has an effect on the decision of parenthood among unmarried men and women, and to clarify the sequential mediating effect of ego-resilience and parenting self-efficacy in such a relationship. Two hundred and eighty-two unmarried men and women completed a questionnaire about child abuse, spousal violence witnessing, ego-resilience, parenting self-efficacy, and parenthood decisions. Data were analyzed to assess the sequential mediation effects between the variables using SPSS Process Macro model 6. The results are as follows. First, child abuse indirectly had an influence on parenthood decisions through the sequential mediating effects of ego-resilience and parenting self-efficacy. Second, spousal violence witnessing had a direct influence on parenthood decisions. However, when adding ego-resilience and parenting self-efficacy to the model, spousal violence witnessing had an influence on parenthood decisions through the sequential mediating effects of ego-resilience and parenting self-efficacy. These findings show the importance of relatively highly organized preliminary parental education that places, more emphasis on the development of ego-resilience and the formation of parenting self-efficacy, in order to construct positive perceptions of the parenthood decisions of unmarried men and women.
