대학생의 몰입을 활용한 진로상담프로그램의 효과성 검증

국문 초록

본 연구는 몰입을 활용한 진로상담프로그램의 효과성을 검증하고 연구참여자들의 주관적인 상담경험을 탐색하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구대상은 대구 K대학교 4학년 남녀 대학생 7명이었고, 이들은 모두 5회 이상 프로그램에 참여하였다. 프로그램은 기존의 전통적인 진로상담 이론들이 가지고 있는 제한점을 극복할 수 있는 대안 이론으로 부각되고 있는 Csikszentmihalyi의 몰입을 활용한 김창대(2002) 몰입이론에 근거한 진로상담의 귀납적 방식을 차용하였다. 여기에 Torrance의 Future Problem Solving Program; FPSP(1997) 중에서 브레인스토밍, 평가행렬법, 시나리오 쓰기를 회기와 별개로 시간을 내어 진행하였다. 분석은 Hill(1997, 2005)이 제안한 합의적 질적 연구(Consensual Qualitative Research; CQR)와 대응표본 t검증 같은 양적방법을 실시하였다. 질적인 측면인 CQR분석결과 핵심개념은 진로결정, 몰입형태, 해결전략 등이고, 양적인 측면인 대응표본 t검증 결과 성취가치, 자기실현 가치, 일 자체의 가치 등 7가지 하위요인에서 사전검사에 비해 사후검사에서 유의한 점수의 변화를 보였다. 따라서 몰입이론을 적용한 진로상담은 모르고 있었던 재능의 발견과 다른 측면을 보는 창의력의 발달로 진로를 선택하는데 도움을 받은 것이라 할 수 있다. 그리고 이러한 결론에 대한 제한과 함의들을 같이 논의해 보았다.

영문 초록

This study was designed to validate the effectiveness of career counseling programs using Flow theory and explore the subjective experience of participants. The study participants were 7 senior college students who participated in the program 5 times in total. We used an immersion path as an alternative ways of overcoming traditional career counseling theories. This program used the inductive method based on Kim`s immersion theory(2005), which utilizes the flow theory by Csikszentmihalyi. Among Torrance`s Future Problem Solving Program, brainstorming, evaluation matrix, and scenario writing were further processed in a separate time. The analysis was done by Consensual Qualitative Research(CQR) by Hil(1997, 2005), and a paired sampled T-test. The result of COR showed that the key elements of career consultation programs using Flow theory are career decision, flow type and resolution strategy of career. And a paired sampled T-test showed that there were significant differences in work values after program. Therefore, career counseling program focusing on flow can lead to discovery of hidden talent and development of creativity. Some limitations and implications were discussed.
