초등체육의 인식론적 검토: 체육교육의 조건

국문 초록

학교체육의 위상이 날로 높아지는 가운데 초등체육은 놀이와 스포츠의 양극에서 교과교육으로서의 정체성을 상실 하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 학교체육의 팽창이 오히려 초등 체육의 위기로 이어지는 아이러니를 ‘하는 것’에 과도하 게 집중된 관심에서 비롯된 것으로 본다. 이에 따라 본고에서는 체육교육 분야의 이론들이 가지는 학습과 경험에 대한 인식론적 틀을 살피고, 그것으로부터 체육교육의 인식론적 의미를 고찰하고자 하였다. 먼저 체육교육의 이론 적 개념들 가운데 움직임교육, 인상적인 지능, 이해중심게임모형, 피지컬리터러시를 바탕으로 각 이론들이 제시하 는 학습의 기제와 그것의 의미에 대해 살펴보았다. 다음으로 체육교육의 의미를 경험의 일원론적 접근, 상호작용에 의한 경험의 구성, 경험의 확장성의 세 가지 인식론적 관점에서 재조명함으로써 초등학교 현장에 적합한 체육교육 의 방향을 제시하였다. 이러한 고찰은 체육 교과를 교과답게 가르치기 위한 아이디어를 제시함으로써 초등학교 현 장의 체육수업에서 드러나는 문제들을 해결하기 위한 작은 단서를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

The status of school physical education is increasing day by day. However, elementary physical education is losing its identity as curriculum in between the two extremes of play and sports. In this study, it is thought that the expansion of school physical education focuses on doing ironic that causes crisis of elementary physical education. The purpose of this study is to examine the epistemological framework of the learning and experience of the theories in the field of physical education and to examine its educational meaning. First, it examines the four theoretical concepts of physical education: movement approach, impressive intelligence, teaching game for understanding, and physical literacy. Second, the meaning of physical education is reexamined from an epistemological point of view(holistic approach of experience, interactive experience construction, extensibility of experience) to suggest the direction of physical education suitable for elementary school students. These considerations will provide ideas for teaching physical education as curriculum. Therefore, it is expected that it will provide a little clue to solving the problems that occur in the physical education class at the elementary school.
