실과교과서 ‘생활과 기술’ 단원 발명 교육 내용 분석

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 실과 교과서 5 ‘생활과 기술’ 단원의 발명 교육 내용 요소를 분석하는 데 있다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 실과 5 교과서의 ‘생활과 기술’ 대단원 구성 비율은 14.6～19.5%였으며, 중단원인 기술과 발명의 기초는 5.5～7.7%이고, 창의적인 제품 만들기는 8～12.9% 구성 비율을 보였다. 둘째, 차례 분석 결과 모든 교과서에서 교육과정해설서에 제시된 내용 체계표를 바탕으로 ‘기술과 발명의 관계’, ‘발명 아이디어 기법’, ‘창의적인 구상’, ‘창의적인 생활용품 만들기’ 등을 주요 내용으로 차례를 구성하고 있다. 셋째, 세부구성 체계 분석 결과 도입 부분은 공통적으로 대단원명, 중단원 차례, 들어가기, 중단원명, 학습 목표, 생각열기로 구성되어 있고, 전개 부분은 소단원명, 생각해보기, 핵심용어, 본문, 학습 도우미, 수행활동, 조사활동, 생활 속에서, 읽을거리 등으로 구성되어 있다. 정리 부분은 중단원 정리, 대단원정리, 진로활동, 대단원 평가 등의 용어를 통해 단원을 정리할 수 있도록 하였다. 넷째, 삽화 분석 결과 사진이 가장 많고 그림, 표의 순이었다. 사진은 다양한 발명품, 역사 속 발명품, 발명 기법, 체험활동의 과정을 나타낸 것이 대부분이었으며, 그림은 본문의 내용을 나타내거나 발명 기법 등을 제시한 것이 대부분이었다. 다섯째, 내용 비중 분석 결과 내용 요소에 따른 비중 분석 결과를 살펴보면 ‘발명과 사고’, ‘발명체험활동’에 많은 비중을 두어 기술되었으며, ‘발명의 이해’, ‘발명과 특허’는 많이 기술되어 있지 않았다. 여섯째, 내용 제시 방식 분석 결과 대부분의 교과서에서 그림, 표, 삽화 등과 문장으로 혼합되어 기술되어 있어 학습자가 기술된 문장을 읽고 다양한 형태의 삽화를 통해 이해하기 쉽도록 제시되었다. 이상의 연구 결과를 바탕으로 첫째, 일관성 있는 발명 교육 내용 체계를 유지해야 하며, 둘째, 다양한 시각에서 보다 정밀하고 체계적인 교과서 분석이 이루어져야 함을 제언한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze key contents of invention education in the units life and technology of elementary school ‘practical arts 5’ textbooks of the revised 2011 national curriculum. The findings of the study were as follows: First, ‘Life and technology’ chapters of ‘practical arts 5’ textbooks indicated a page proportion from 14.6 to 19.5%, with the subchapters of ‘Basic technology and invention’ unit taking up 5.5-7.7%, ‘Making creative goods’ unit taking up 8-12.9% of the textbooks. Second, all the textbooks, ‘Relationship of technology and invention’, ‘Method of invention Idea’ ‘Creative designing’, ‘Making creative goods’ were included as main contents based on the achievement standards presented in the national curriculum documents. Third, the detailed structures were generally made up as follows: Introduction (Broad chapter title, subchapter table of contents, introduction, subchapter title, study objectives, open thinking); development (unit title, thinking ahead, key terms, main text, study helper, activities, research activities, supplemental readings, in-depth study topics, technology in everyday lives, reading topics, discussion topics, and career helpers); and summary (subchapter summary, study summary, terms summary, writing follow-up, self review, broad chapter evaluation). Fourth, based on the analysis of figures included, photographs had the largest proportion, followed by figures, tables. The photos were used to illustrate various inventions, invention methods, and hands-on activities, while figures were included to depict the contents included in the main text, and the tables to assist to preparation of process diagrams or materials lists. Fifth, based on the analysis of content weights, greater weights were placed on ‘Inventions and Thoughts’, and ’Invention Experiment Activities,’ while ‘Understanding Inventions’ and ‘Invention and Intellectual Property’ chapters did not have a lot of texts involved.
