중학교 기술교과에서의 전통기술에 대한 교수 · 학습 전략 및 자료 탐색

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 중학교에서 전통기술을 가르치기 위한 교수?학습 전략 및 자료를 탐색하는 것이다. 이러한 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 2009 개정 교육과정과 기술교과서에 제시된 전통기술에 대한 내용을 분석하고, 전통기술을 가르치는 교수자의 질적 자료를 통해 전통기술에 대한 교수?학습 전략 및 자료를 탐색하였다. 연구 방법으로는 내용 분석과 사례 연구를 실시하였으며, 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 2009 개정 교육과정의 분석 결과, 2009 개정 교육과정의 기술교과에서는 성격, 목표, 내용 체계, 학년군별 성취 기준에서 전통기술에 대한 내용 및 표현을 찾을 수 없었다. 그러나 학습 내용별 성취 기준에서 ‘중학교 1~3학년군, 기술의 세계 단원’에 전통기술을 탐색하는 성취기준이 제시되어 있었다. 둘째, 2009 개정 교육과정에 따른 중학교 11종 교과서를 분석한 결과, 전통기술의 내용에 있어 제조 기술과 건설기술의 내용이 수송 기술, 통신 기술, 생명기술보다 더 많고 다양함을 알 수 있었다. 셋째, 전통기술을 소재로 하여 네 명의 참여자의 사례를 통해 전통기술의 교육적 요구와 학교 현장에서의 교수?학습 전략과 자료를 탐색한 결과, 전통기술이 학교 안과 밖의 교육적 소통으로서 다양한 체험활동을 위해 박물관, 과학관을 교수?학습 전략으로 활용할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 민족의 정체성 확립으로서 전통기술이 중요하지만, 기술의 중립적 입장에서 전통기술을 탐색하고 지도할 수 있도록 해야함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 전통기술이 융합교육으로서의 중요한 소재임을 알 수 있었으며 교수?학습을 계획할 때 융합적 체험활동으로서의 활용 가능성을 확인할 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research was to find the strategy or material for instruction of traditional technology at the middle school level. To achieve this purpose, strategies pertaining to instruction of traditional technology were analyzed with suggested content about traditional technology in the revised curriculum, technology textbooks of 2009, and quality data from the instructor. As a methodology, this study contains analyses and case studies. The results were as follows. First, after analyzing the revised curriculum of 2009, several expressions were found. They pertained to traditional technology in the standard accomplishment of features, purposes, contents, and grades in revised technology textbooks of 2009. However, in the standard accomplishment of learning contents, it was suggested that the standard accomplishment of researching traditional technology in the book World of the Technology for grades one to three of middle school. Second, after researching 11 different kinds of middle school revised-curriculum textbooks in 2009, the findings were that the contents about manufacturing and construction technology were more varied than the content about biotechnology, transportation, and communication technology. Third, after researching educational needs of traditional technology from the examples of 4 applicants related to the traditional technology and teaching and study strategy and material in school, traditional technology can be used in museums as learning tools for various experiential activities as educational communication method. Moreover, although traditional technology was important to establish national identity, we had to research and teach that in the center position of technology itself. In addition, one can learn that traditional technology can be an important resource for education. One can also find the possibility for using multiple experiential activities.
