기술교사 학습공동체의 참여 동기와 교수 전문성 개발에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 기술교사 학습공동체에 기술교사가 참여하게 되는 동기와 교수 전문성 개발에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구자는 2013년 3월부터 2013년 12월까지 10개월 동안 광주기술교사모임이라는 기술교사 학습공동체를 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 연구 참여자는 총 10명으로 모두 광주기술교사모임에 자발적으로 참여한 현직 기술교사들이였다. 본 연구의 수행과정과 결과도출에 있어 타당도를 확보하기 위하여 심층면담과 참여관찰, 내용분석과 같은 자료수집방법의 삼각측량법(triangulation)을 활용하였다. 또한, 연구자는 심층면담을 통해 발견된 내용들을 참여관찰이나 내용분석과정을 통해 그 타당성을 검토하였으며 연구에 참여한 연구참여자(피면담자)들로부터 연구결과물에 대한 검토과정(member check)을 거쳤다. 위의 과정을 거친 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기술교사 학습공동체에 기술교사가 참여하게 되는 동기는 단위학교 교과협의회의 한계, 바람직한 기술수업에 대한 생각을 공유하고 싶은 욕구, 학습공동체를 통한 전문가로서의 성장 욕구, 학생들과의 소통 욕구로 나타났다. 둘째, 기술교사 학습공동체에 참여한 기술교사의 교수 전문성 개발에 미치는 영향은 크게 기술교과 수업에 대한 전문성 개발영역과 기술교과 내용에 대한 전문성 개발영역으로 나타났다. 세부적으로 살펴보면 기술교과 수업에 대한 전문성 개발영역에서는 수업에 대한 자기반성, 기술교과 교수-학습 방법 습득, 학습자 중심의 수업관으로 나타났으며, 기술교과 내용에 대한 전문성 영역은 기술교과 내용 지식 습득, 교육과정과 교과서 재구성으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this research is to analyze the motives of technology teachers for participating in the technology teachers learning community and the development of teaching competence. The technology teachers learning community called Gwangju Technology Teachers Association was selected as the research subject and was examined for 10 months from March 2013 to December 2014. The research participants were a total of 10 in-service technology teachers who voluntarily participated in The Association. In order to secure the validity in the process of conducting this research and deriving the results, the triangulation of data collection methods such as in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and content analysis were utilized. Also these researchers examined the validity of the contents discovered through in-depth interviews through participatory observation and content analysis process and had the research participants (interviewees) who participated in this research go through the review process on the research results. The research conclusion derived from the above-mentioned process is as follows. First, the motives of technology teachers for participating in the teachers learning community were found to be the limitations of unit school curriculum consultative council, the sharing of ideas about desirable technology instruction, growth into experts through the learning community, and desire to communicate with students. Second, the development of teaching competence of technology teachers in the teachers learning community was found to be divided roughly into the domain of the development of competence regarding technology subject instruction and the development of competence regarding the contents of technology subject. To put it in detail, the domain of the development of competence regarding technology subject instruction was found to comprise the self-reflection of instruction, the acquisition of the technology subject teaching-learning methods, the learner-centered view of instruction, and the domain of competence regarding technology subject contents was found to comprise the acquisition of technology subject contents, the curriculum, and the reorganization of textbooks.
