국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 초임 기술교사의 교직적응과 영향 변인간의 구조적 관계를 구명하는데 있었다. 이 연구의 모집단은 중등 기술 임용시험에 합격하고 기술교사로 임용된지 만 4년이 지나지 않은 중등 기술교사이며, 현재 재직 중인 303명의 기술 초임교사 중 근무학교가 파악되지 않은 14명을 제외한 289명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 질문지는 교직적응 척도, 양성교육 만족도 척도, 초임교사연수 만족도 척도, 입직 당시 사명감 척도, 인구통계학적 특성 조사 문항으로 구성하였다. 자료수집은 2015년 5월 7일부터 6월 12일까지 우편조사를 통하여 이루어졌고, 최종 분석에는 회수된 185부가 활용되었다. 이 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초임 기술교사들은 교수학습지도, 학생생활지도, 행정업무수행, 인간관계 등 모든 교직 영역에 있어서 잘 적응하고 있었다. 특히 이 가운데 인간관계에 있어서 교직적응을 가장 잘 하고 있었으나 상대적으로 학생생활지도에 대한 교직적응 정도가 가장 낮았다. 둘째, 초임 기술교사들의 교직적응은 그들의 일반적 특성에 따라 차이가 있었는데, 교직적응의 영역 중 교수학습지도, 학생생활지도, 행정업무수행 영역에서 남자 초임 기술교사가 여자 초임 기술교사보다 적응을 더 잘하고 있었다. 그리고 행정업무수행에 있어서는 교직경력이 3년 이상인 초임 기술교사가 3년 미만인 초임 기술교사보다 적응을 더 잘하고 있었다. 그러나 근무학교 소재지에 따른 교직적응에는 차이가 없었다. 셋째, 초임 기술교사가 인식한 양성교육 만족도나 초임교사연수 만족도는 교직적응에 직접적으로 정적인 영향을 주지는 않으나 입직 당시 사명감을 매개로하여 교직적응에 간접적으로 정적인 영향을 주었다.

영문 초록

The purposes of this study were to measure the professional adjustment level of beginning technology teachers, and to analyze the structural relationship among variables influencing professional adjustment of them. The population was beginning technology teachers. The study was carried out through questionnaire survey method. A survey questionnaire was developed by researcher It consist of professional adjustment scale, satisfaction to teacher education program scale, satisfaction to training program for new teachers scale, sense of duty scale, personal characteristics items. The questionnaire was sent by mail. 185 questionnaires were used for analysis. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were employed for data analysis. And the data was analyzed by using structural equation modeling to examine structural relationship among variables influencing professional adjustment of beginning technology teachers. Major findings of this study were as follows: First, professional adjustment level of beginning technology teachers was high. In sub-variables of professional adjustment, human relationships was the highest Second, gender difference of them found to be significant in affecting the professional adjustment. And terms of job experience found to be significant in affecting administrative work achievement domain of the professional adjustment. Third, satisfaction to teacher education program and satisfaction to training program for new teachers had positive effects on sense of duty but no direct effect on professional adjustment . And sense of duty had a positive mediating effect on professional adjustment .
