국문 초록

본 연구는 신체활동 중심의 전래놀이가 만 3세 유아의 유치원 적응 및 사회적 기술에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 연구 대상은 서울특별시 S구에 소재한 공립유치원 2학급의 만 3세 유아 32명(실험집단 16명, 비교집단 16명)이다. 실험처치는 총 7주동안 이루어졌으며, 실험집단의 유아에게는 신체활동 중심의 전래놀이를 매일 1시간의 바깥놀이 시간에 실시하였고, 비교집단의 유아에게는 생활주제에 따라 이루어지는 바깥놀이를 매일 1시간씩 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 신체활동 중심의 전래놀이는 만 3세 유아의 유치원 적응에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 신체활동 중심의 전래놀이는 만 3 세 유아의 사회적 기술에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구의 결과는 유아교육 현장에서 신체활동 중심의 전래놀이가 만 3세 유아에게 발달적으로 적합하며, 특히 학기 초 기관적응 및 또래 관계 형성에 도움이 됨을 의미한다. 이는 교육현장에서 신체활동 중심의 전래놀이 활용의 필요성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to search for the effects that traditional play focusing on physical activity have on 3-year-old children’s the kindergarten adjustment and social skills. This study was conducted in two class of three-year-old children in a public kindergarten in Seoul with 32 children. For seven weeks, the experimental group play Korea traditional play focusing on physical activity while the comparative groups did outdoor play. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, Korean traditional play focusing on physical activity have been proven to have significant effects on the development of the kindergarten adjustment of three-year-old children. Secondly, Korean traditional play focusing on physical activity have been proven to have significant effect on the development of social skills of three-year-old children. Such results demonstrate that Korean traditional play focusing on physical activity is developmentally appropriate for three-year-old. Particularly it helps children kindergarten adjustment and form peer relationships at the beginning of the semester. The results of this study imply that traditional play focusing on physical activity could be actively utilized on educational sites.
