국문 초록

최근 문화산업을 핵심으로 하는 사회ㆍ경제구조의 변화와 함께 스토리텔링을 활용한 문화콘텐츠가 각광받고 있다. 이러한 시대변화에 따라 스토리텔링은 교육내용을 조직하고 공유하는 방식으로서 교육의 이론과 실천영역에서도 주목하고 있다. 본 연구에서 다룰 ‘대구 新택리지 프로젝트’는 스토리텔링을 통하여 『대구문화지도』(2001), 『골목은 살아있다』(2002), 『대구 新택리지』(2007) 및 지역 답사프로그램 등을 개발하여 지역문화를 단순한 관광콘텐츠가 아닌 교육콘텐츠화한 10여년에 걸친 성공적인 사례이다. 본 연구는 대구 新택리지 프로젝트 사례를 분석하여 지역문화교육콘텐츠 개발 과정을 스토리텔링의 관점에서 분석․체계화하고 스토리텔링의 교육적 적용 가능성을 확대해보고자 했다. 연구방법으로는 질적 사례연구방법의 관점에서 내러티브 인터뷰, 직접관찰, 문서 및 영상 자료 수집 등을 통해 자료를 수집․분석하였다. 분석결과, 지역문화교육콘텐츠 개발은 [장소성 발견 - 스토리텔링 기획- 문화적 기억 탐색 - 지역문화교육콘텐츠 도출 - 스토리 공유·확대]의 총 5단계의 스토리텔링의 과정을 거치며 이 일련의 과정이 계속적으로 순환하는 시스템임을 알 수 있었다. 특히 이러한 스토리텔링 과정 속에서 교육콘텐츠가 더욱 정교화되고 다양하게 파생되고 있을 뿐만 아니라 그 과정 자체가 지역사회의 학습을 촉진하는 기반이자 새로운 지역문화의 생산과 향유를 가능하게 하는 매개체였다. 이러한 사례에서 볼 때, 스토리텔링은 교육콘텐츠 개발 도구이자 학습도구로서 앞으로도 교육학적 연구가 확대될 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

Recently, cultural contents utilizing storytelling is focused with the change of socialㆍeconomic structure whose core is cultural industry. According to the periodical changes, storytelling should be focused in the area of educational theory and practice as a method to organize and share education contents. Daegu shintaekriji project which will be treated in this study is a successful example developing 『Daegu Cultural Map』(2001), 『Alley is alive』(2002), 『Daegu shintaekriji』(2007), regional exploration program, etc. through the storytelling and making regional culture to education contents, not just sightseeing contents. This study intended to analyze examples of Daegu Shintaekriji project , anlayze․systematize the developmental process of local cultural education contents from a storytelling point of view and expand the possibility to apply storytelling educationally. To achieve them, materials collected by narrative interview, direct observation, document/video collection, etc. were analyzed from the standpoint of qualitative case study. As the results of analysis, the development of local cultural education contents was achieved by total 5 stage process of storytelling [discovery of placeness - planning of storytelling- exploration of cultural memory - deduction of local cultural education contents - expansion of story sharing] and the series of process was continuously circulated. Especially, education contents were more elaborate and variously derived in the process of storytelling as well as the process was a base promoting the studying of local society and medium letting the production and sharing of new local culture possible. If considering the example, storytelling is a developmental tool and studying tool of education contents and its pedagogical studies should be expanded in the future.
