전문상담교사의 소진관련 요인 메타연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 전문상담교사의 소진과 관련 된 변인을 연구한 결과를 종합하여 효과크기를 산출하고 그 의미를 분석하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 분석자료 선정 절차를 거쳐 23편의 연구를 선정하고, 193개의 효과크기를 산출하였다. 일반특성변인, 보호변인, 위험변인으로 관련변인을 구분하고 전체 효과크기와 하위요인별 효과크기를 CMA2를 이용하여 분석하였다. 또한 교사와 상담자를 대상으로 메타분석한 기존 연구를 바탕으로 본 연구에서 도출된 효과크기와 비교하였다. 분석 결과 전문상담교사의 일반특성변인은 소진에 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 이는 교사의 특성과 유사했으나 상담자와는 차이가 있었다. 소진을 경감시킬 수 있는 보호변인 전체는 교사, 상담자와 비슷한 수준인–.427로 중간 수준의 효과크기를 가지고 있었다. 전문상담교사는 내재동기가 가장 높은 보호요인이었고 교사와 상담자는 탄력성이 가장 높은 수준의 보호요인이었다. 더불어 소진을 악화시키는 위험변인 전체는 전문상담교사가 교사와 상담자 보다는 다소 낮은 수준인 .365의 중간수준의 효과크기를 나타냈다. 위험변인의 하위요인 중 전문상담교사는 학생관련 스트레스가 가장 높았으며 교사는 완벽주의, 상담사는 신경증이 높은 수준의 위험요인으로 나타났다. 이상의 분석결과를 바탕으로 전문상담교사의 소진을 예방하거나 감소시킬 수 방안과 후속연구의 방향성을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to synthesize the study of variables related to the burnout of professional school counselors, calculating the effect size and analyzing its meaning. To this end, 23 studies were selected using the analysis data selection procedure and 193 effect sizes were calculated. Categorized into general characteristic variables, protective variables, and risk variables, and analyzed the overall effect size and the effect size by sub-factor using CMA2. Already meta-analyzed studies of teachers and counselors were also compared to the effect sizes derived from this study. The analysis results showed that the general characteristic variables of professional school counselors showed the effect size that was not significant to the burnout. It was similar to teachers but different from counselors. The whole protective variable that can reduce burnout is similar to the teacher and counselor. It had a large effect size with -. 427. Professional school counselors had the highest level of protection for intrinsic motivation and teachers and counselors had the highest level of resilience. In addition, the whole risk variable that exacerbated burnout was an intermediate effect size of .365 which was somewhat lower than that of teachers and counselors. Among the sub-factors of risk variables, professional school counselors had the highest level of student-related stress, teachers had perfectionism, and consultants had psychoneurosis as a risk factor. Based on the above analysis results, a measure was proposed to prevent or reduce the exhaustion of later professional school counselors and to conduct follow-up research.
