국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학생들에게 물에 대한 중요성과 앞으로 다가올 물 부족에 대한 인식을 고조시 켜 물을 아끼는 태도를 기를 수 있도록 물 환경 프로그램을 개발하였다. 개발된 프로그램의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 제주도 J초등학교 6학년 비교반 31명과 실험반 31명을 대상으로 물 환경 프로그램을 적용하여 학습전과 학습후의 물에 대한 인식 및 태도 변화를 분석하였다. 개발된 프로그램으로 탐구활동을 적용한 실험반은 이론 수업을 한 비교반에 비하여 물 환경에 대한 정의적 영역에서 유의미하게 향상됨을 알 수 있었다. 아울러 실험반 학생들은 정성적 영역에서도 물에 대한 흥미와 호기심이 높아졌으며, 탐구 전보다도 물을 아끼고 깨끗이 이용하려는 태도를 보였다. 따라서 앞으로 물 환경에 대해 지속적으로 효과를 유지하기 위한 다각적인 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

We developed the water environmental program so that elementary school students can recognize water environment well and have the attitudes to save it by making them perceive the significance of water and water lack in the future. In order to examine the effects of the developed program, we investigated changes in attitudes and recognition on water before and after learning by applying the water environmental program to 6th graders (the control group, 31 students; the experimental group, 31 students) of J elementary school in Jeju-do. It was found that the experimental group applied with the developed program was enhanced significantly in affective area in relation to water environment compared to the control group to which theoretical classes were conducted. Moreover, students of the experimental group were also elevated in interest and curiosity on water of qualitative area. Thus, we have realized that it is necessary to develop continuously teaching-learning materials of in-depth environmental education in relation to water.
