한국의 정보 교육과정과 미국 CSTA의 컴퓨터 과학 프레임워크의 비교

국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 한국의 중학교 정보 교과 교육과정과 미국 컴퓨터과학교사협회(CSTA)의 컴퓨터 과학 프레임워크를 서로 비교하고, 그 결과를 토대로 전문가집단인터뷰를 실시하여 추후 교육과정 개발의 시사점을 얻는 데에 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 2015 개정 교육과정과 국내외 컴퓨터 과학 교육의 비교 논문을 찾아 연구하였다. 그리고 한국의 2015 개정 교육과정에 제시된 중학교 정보 과목의 목표와 내용 체계, 교수·학습 방법 등을 2016년에 제시된 CSTA의 컴퓨터 과학 프레임워크의 목표와 내용을 비교하여 제시하였다. 두 개의 교육 목표와 내용은 컴퓨팅 사고력 교육이라는 공통점을 가지고 있었지만, 교육 내용은 다소 상이하게 진술된 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 한국의 정보 교육과정과 CSTA의 컴퓨터 과학 프레임워크 비교 결과를 토대로 전문가집단인터뷰를 실시하였고, 개발되어지는 컴퓨터 과학 교육과정에서 고려해야 할 사항들을 제시하였다. 본 연구 결과는 추후 정보 교육과정 개발에 좋은 사례 연구가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

The aim of this paper is to compare the middle school curriculum of Informatics subject in Korea and CSTA’s computer science framework in the US. Based on the results of comparison study, the focus group interviews was conducted to obtain some suggestions on the future development of curriculum. First of all, the 2015 revised curriculum and some literatures concerning about computer science education were studied and compared. After that, the objectives, contents, and teaching-learning methods of Informatics subject in Korea’s 2015 revised curriculum were compared with those of CSTA’s computer science framework that was published in 2016. Although the two educational objectives of Informatics curriculum and computer science framework for promoting computational thinking have in common, some of its contents and elements between them are found to be different. Based on the focus group interviews with results of comparison, some considerations were proposed for future development of curriculum of Informatics. The results of this study will be the case that can be consulted on the new revised Informatics curriculum to be developed further.
