국문 초록

이 연구는 『(초등학생을 위한) 표준 한국어』를 대상으로 , 문법 항목의 배열 및 순서의 적절성을 검토하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이 교재는 한국어가 모어가 아닌 다문화 배경 학생들의 한국어 교육을 위해 마련된, 2012 고시 한국어 교육과정에 따라 개발되었다. 한국어는 어휘 형태소에 문법 형태소가 결합하는 교착어이므로, 한국어 문법 교육은 문법 항목을 중심으로 이루어지게 된다. 본고에서는 문법 항목 배열 검토 기준으로, 언어 내적기준으로는 문법 체계를, 언어 외적 기준으로는 기능을 설정하고, 이 두 가지 기준에 따라 초등용 표준 한국어 교재 문법 항목 배열의 적절성을 검토하였다. 기능의 기준에서는, 초등용 표준 한국어 교재에 제시된 문법항목의 단계별 배열이 한국어 교육과정에서 설정한 학습 내용의 성취기준을 제대로 따르고 있지 않았으며, 학습 활동에 필요한 기초적인 기능과 학습자 요구가 고려되지 않은 면이 있었다. 문법 체계의 기준에서는, 문장종결법, 시제, 피동, 부정법 등의 문법 범주에서, 문법 항목이 그 의미 기능에 따라 체계적으로 배열되지 않았다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the appropriacy of the order and arrangement of grammatical items in 『Standard Korean Language (for elementary school students)』. This textbook was developed in accordance with the 2012 Korean Language Curriculum, which was prepared for the Korean language education of multicultural background students whose native language is not Korean. Since Korean is an agglutinative language in which grammatical morphemes combine into lexical morphemes, Korean grammar education is centered on grammatical items. In this paper, grammatical system and function were established as criteria for examination of grammatical item arrangement, and examined appropriacy of grammatical item arrangement in the Standard Korean Language textbooks. In the criterion of function, the stepwise arrangement of the grammatical items presented in the Standard Korean Language textbooks did not follow the achievement standards of the learning contents set in the Korean Language Curriculum, and there was a lack of consideration of basic functions and learners needs for learning activities. In the criterion of grammar system, grammatical items were not systematically arranged according to their semantic function in the grammatical categories such as sentence-final mood, tense, passive, and negative.
