초등 2학년들의 수업장면에서 체육의 필요성 찾기

국문 초록

이 연구는 체육교과가 없는 초등학교 2학년 학생들의 신체활동과 관련된 수업 장면을 살펴보고 통합교과에 포함된 신체활동을 체육교과로 분리하기 위한 필요성을 탐색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 2018년 3월 1일부터 2018년 12월 31일까지를 연구기간으로 정하였으며, 이 기간은 연구참여자인 초등 2학년 담임교사의 근무기간과 중복된다. 1년 동안 연구참여자는 초등학교 2학년 학생들의 담임을 맡아 대부분의 수업을 담당하였으며 아침부터 학생들의 하교지도를 할 때까지 계속적인 관찰과 수시 질문을 통해 수업일지를 작성하였다. 연구자는 연구참여자들과 수차례 심층면담을 하였으며, 간접참여방법으로 수업의 장면까지 기록하고 분석하였다. 수집된 다양한 자료들은 귀납적인 분석의 과정을 거쳐 경험적 지식을 도출하고자 하였다. 연구결과 ‘체육을 외치는 학생들’과 ‘모난 돌이 된 교사’의 주제로 범주화할 수 있었다. 체육을 외치는 학생들은 수업장소와 복장으로 신체활동수업을 예상하며 좋아하고, 넓은 운동장에서 해방감을 맛보며 교과에 없는 체육을 독립교과로 여기고 있었다. 하지만 이러한 적극적인 신체활동 수업은 운동장을 학교 밖으로 생각하고 학생과 따로 노는 다른 선생님으로부터 눈총을 받기도 하였다. 이러한 연구결과 주제별 통합교과에 포함된 신체활동은 교사의 자의적인 해석을 바탕으로 비정상적으로 운영되고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. 그러므로 통합교과 내에서 체육의 영역을 분명히 제시해야 할 필요성과 체육전담교사의 1 ,2학년 수업 지원 및 통합교과에서 신체활동의 시수를 제외하고 통합교과를 구성함으로써 체육을 분리하는 방안도 고민해볼 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to examine the classroom scenes related to physical activity of second grade elementary school students without physical education curriculum and to find out the necessity to separate physical education curriculum. The research period was from March 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018, which is the same as that of the second grade elementary school teachers who participated in the study. During the year, the participants took charge of the classes of the second grade students in the elementary school, and from the morning until the students were instructed to go to school, they continued to observe and write the class diary. The researcher interviewed the participants several times and recorded and analyzed the contents of the class by indirect participation method. The collected data were used to derive empirical knowledge through inductive analysis. As a result of the research, it was possible to categorize them into the theme of students who cried out for the independence of physical education and teachers who became angry . Students who cried out for the independence of physical education were liked to expect physical activity class with class place and dress, tasted liberation feeling in wide playground, and considered physical education which is not in the subject frequently and regarded as independent subject. However, these active physical activity classes also took the gymnasium out of school and glared from other teachers. As a result of these researches, it was found that the physical activities included in the subject - specific integrated subject were abnormally operated based on the self - interpretation of the teacher. Therefore, the necessity of presenting the field of physical education clearly in the integrated subject, the support of the first and second grade of the physical education teacher, and the integration course except the physical activity period in the integrated subject, It is necessary to instill the responsibility of physical education class.
