영문 초록

Purpose: This research has been conducted in attempt to develop management protocol for surgical safety. Methods: This methodological research has been conducted through survey about the recognition of perioperative nurses on the importance of safety management, drawing categories of safety management from ligerature review, verification of preliminary protocol by clinical experts. Results: First, the recognition level on the importance of safety management of perioperative nurses has shown to be an average of 4.54(±0.22). Perioperative Nurses recognized to be important about safety management. Second, 12 safety management categories have been deduced in relation to researches conducted by the inside and outside of the country. This safety management protocol has applied 11 of the categories in exclusion to anesthesia. Third, Preliminary safety management protocol for surgical patients according to before, during and after surgeries have been developed in reference to 11 safety management categories into 172 items. Fourth, Preliminary safety management protocol for surgical patients each have been verified of its suitability, availability and effectiveness by clinical experts. The average CVI value of preliminary safety management protocol for surgical patients have shown to be .99 in suitability, .95 in availability and .99 in effectiveness. One item below .80 in CVI value of suitability and availability have been excluded, 6 of the 14 items below .80 in CVI value of availability have been also excluded. Furthermore, overlapped 3 items have been integrated. The final safety management protocol for surgical patients was developed with 162 items. Conclusion: The safety management protocol developed in this research will propose the safety management activities according to before, during and after surgery as to maintain the continuity of nursing. Moreover, This research will prevent patient accidents, develop the role of safety management of perioperative nurses and improve the quality of perioperative nursing.
