사회적경제교육 교재의 내용구성 및 활용실태

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 사회적경제교육 교재의 내용구성과 활용실태를 분석하여 사회적경제교육을 개선하기 위한 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 최근 ‘사회적경제(Social Economy)’가 주목을 받으면서 서울시를 비롯한 다양한 지방자치단체와 지역교육청에서 관련 교재 개발 및 교육사업 등을 추진하고 있다. 사회적경제교육 교재의 내용구성은 서울시와 서울시교육청에서 공동으로 개발한 초등학생용 교재를 분석 대상으로 하였으며, 지식, 기능, 가치·태도의 3개 요소로 나누어 분석준거를 설정하였다. 교재의 활용실태 분석은 온라인 설문과 초점면접의 두 가지 방법을 병행하였으며, 각각 2017년 서울시 방과후학교 협동조합 시범학교 4개교에 근무하는 초등 교사와 해당 교재의 집필진 2인을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 결과, 교재는 공감과 나눔, 협동, 호혜 등의 사회적경제 관련 가치·태도를 강조하고, 학생들이 협동조합과 같은 사회적경제 조직에 참여하도록 하며, 물질만능주의적 가치관에서 벗어나 지속가능한 사회로의 발전을 추구하도록 하고 있었다. 교재의 활용실태는 사회적경제교육 교재의 인지도 및 활용도가 저조한 수준이고, 그 원인이 교과 진도와 평가, 학교 행사 등으로 인하여 교사가 느끼는 심리적 부담감, 원활하지 못한 교재의 배부, 교사 연수 등의 제도 부족에 있었다. 시사점으로는 사회적경제교육이 필요하다는 공감대가 형성되어야 하며, 교사 개인이나 학교 단위를 넘어서는 제도적인 차원의 체계적인 지원이 뒷받침 되어야 한다는 점이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the contents and utilization of textbook for social economy education and to suggest implications for improvement of social economy education. In recent years, ‘Social Economy’ has been attracting attention and various local governments and regional education offices are developing textbooks and educational projects. The contents of the social economy education textbook were analyzed by elementary school students textbook developed jointly by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education and the analysis criteria were divided into three components: knowledge, function, and value and attitude. The analysis of the use of textbook was conducted by two methods of online questionnaire and focus interview. The subjects were elementary school teachers working in four post - school cooperative schools in Seoul in 2017 and two textbook writers. As a result of the study, the textbook emphasizes values and attitudes related to social economy such as empathy and sharing, cooperation, and reciprocity considering students level of cognitive development, allowing students to participate in social economic organizations like cooperatives, And that it is composed of the workbook format of the participatory class, which is the center of the student. Through the analysis of the utilization of the textbook, it is found that the recognition and utilization of the textbook of social economy education is low, and the psychological burden of the teachers to be further instructed besides the textbook, the distribution of the textbook.
